Beautiful, peaceful community camp
Pleasantly surprised! A beautiful property with amazing views. The location is great for getting out of the “big” city. Perfect for exploring Koko Head and points of interest near by.
Everyone we met was friendly, willing to help with anything, and happy to meet new people.
The yurt was great, with a very comfortable bed. Best night sleep my husband and I had for a while.
Plus, there was always fresh fruit and eggs to eat or take.
Sun farm sanctuary
Looking for a chill spot in hawaii kai that is budget friendly, centrally located in nature? look no further. With fully functional outdoor showers, outdoor kitchen, electrical outlet, and and a view of Hawaiian mountains, Sun Farm is camping at its finest. One could say glamping. There is also a shopping center with CVS, Safeway, Costco, and lots of yummy restaurants close by. The people are super chill and welcoming! Roosters greeted us in the mornings on this pleasant fruit and veggie farm. Check out the Sun farm for good vibes and good views. Thanks to Marcos!
A fun working farm.
This was a fun and busy place. Lots of tents with young people working on the farm. They were all welcoming and friendly. It was not as private as we were expecting but our yurt was very nice. A comfortable queen size mattress on the floor, linens and towels. Flush toilet and a hot shower were both pluses. Refrigerator space in the kitchen was nice too. Located in East Honolulu it was away from the craziness of Waikiki but still close enough to explore everything.
Very chill vibes and met lots of interesting people from around the world. The Hipcamp is surrounded by nature and we loved visits from their dogs/cat. Their farm is a work in progress and it was fun to see what was growing. Bed is comfy and Yurt keeps the elements out effectively (it can get windy). Outdoor shower was warm and a fun experience. Kitchen area had all the essentials and the fridge kept all our beverages nice and cold. Koko head is right around the corner. If you’re looking for an affordable place to stay that’s not a boring run of the mill overpriced hotel, this will fit the bill and more.
It was okay. The kitchen is somewhat equipped (no oven or toaster, but the rest is good) bathroom okay too and the place to shower is a-ma-zing (although it is outside and can be a little windy). The yurts had electricity plugs and a fan that saves your life on hot days. . We had 2 days of rain and there were leaks ALL over our tent. The only thing that didn’t get wet in the tent was (luckily) our bed. We managed by putting a bucket (that we had) in the biggest leak. Because we were leaving anyway, we chose to keep like that, but someone staying longer could have bigger issues. The hosts never came to check if everything was okay.
The location is great if you have a car or are really willing to walk. The nearest bus stop is about 10-12 blocks away. Overall the farm is very lovely (and the dog and cat living in there too😭), but for the price, a lot of things could be improved.
Very pleasant place to stay. My tent was very comfortable. Able to stand in it. Queen sized bed with all the pillows and linen, towels, night stand with lamp, a power strip, and area carpets on the floor. Lots of vents and flaps for air flow. I felt very safe and secure here. Plenty of lighting at night and the people are all friendly and gracious. Community kitchen is clean and latrine and open air shower is well kept.
The stay was absolutely amazing. The people there are so great to be around, it was such a great environment to be in with such great spirit!! The tents are awesome, even when it rains it’s so calming to hear the rain on the tents. It’s pretty close to the stores and restaurants and beaches down the street, about a 20 minute walk, which isn’t bad at all. And it’s also right below KoKo head trail (which you have to do if you go). It was one of the best experiences I’ve experiences I’ve ever had, and I feel blessed to have met the people I met there.
Staying at Marcos’ was really lovely. The farm and all the folks living on it are very kind, hospitable and lovely. Great location away from Wikiki tucked into a beautiful little valley. Waimeia the sweetest dog was a gem and the beautiful outdoor shower gorgeous.
Glamping on beautiful farm
Marcos's place was an amazing site to spend the new years Eve. The canvas tents are equipped with beds, lights, and fresh towels. There is an outdoor kitchen close to the tents. There is also an outhouse with a flush toilet. There is a private outdoor shower with warm water and amazing ambiance. We loved meeting everyone on the farm and all the special amenities. This is glamping for sure.
