Amazing views
Hipcampers say this spot has amazing views.
As all the land here is born of lava, many moons ago this land began to host plants and critters. Long after, it was sculpted and a number of families and farmers have contributed to what we have today. An abundance of fruit and vegetables within sight of the ocean. Peaceful breezes and warming sun make for unparalleled tranquility. Today the land still gives back to its visitors. Come recharge. As this is agricultural lands, there are many critters. Dogs, chickens, pheasants, peacock, mongoose, and many birds. Tge invasive coqui frog is annoying to some and calming to others. The micro climate here swings from warm and dry to wet quickly. Best to always prepare for rain. There is snorkeling, beaches, local food, Cafe, BBQ, poke, fish-n-chips, grocery, Sunday farmers market and hiking nearby. It is peaceful here, but also an active farming community. As an organic farm, we put alot of effort into soil building and as such, there are soft places that will be damaged by the weight of a vehicle. Staying on the driveway is best. We will guide you to where you need to go. Our road is paved, but bumpy. Any vehicle will make it without damage if driven slowly. 1 to 4mph tops. *Be sure to avoid the camper rental companies that restrict certain roads. Aloha and have a great day.Tucked into the Ohia forest on the gentle slopes of Mauna Loa surrounded by various native plants, the cool mountain breeze will refresh as the oceans views energize. Shaded areas and spots with full sun and views of the stars offer a breath taking experience. Undeveloped camping with *** no ameneties *** offers a natural experience on a working farm. Enjoy hiking up the mountain. Beaches and coastal hikes are a short drive. Note: It rains almost everyday. Are you ready? We do have a portapotty as a test run.

We really wanted to find a safe spot, somewhere near snorkeling & on Kona side prior to venturing to other side of island. We quickly fell in love w the place & regretted not having booked more than one evening. Very gracious & nice hosts. Informal morning farm tour was a hit! These Hipcamp hosts are a testament to honoring the land on the island. Well done.

Cool drive up to the property through steep orchards, Got there and parked right in the middle of colins private orchard. Had a great time Colin provided firewood and great conversation. Would go again!

We stayed with Colin and his wife for three days. We were there with a camping van. A very nice place to camp with lots of nature. The hosts were very friendly and gave us a warm welcome even at a late hour. We'd love to come back.

The place was a nice quiet area to relax! Communication wasn’t great, so we weren’t exactly sure where to park, and didn’t want to drive around to much because we were nervous of potentially getting stuck in our campervan! But we parked along a road and got some rest. The host was lovely in the morning apologizing for the mix up, and gave us some lovely recommendations for the rest of our adventure!
