Great camping experience!
Mike is a very nice guy! He has camping experience and helped us setting up our tent, when we needed some extra camping gear, he also had it for us. The camping ground is spacious and lies on a good location.
The shower and toilet (including bidet) are fine. He also has a washing machine that we could use. There is good wifi and Mike helped to get power supply to our tent.
It was a very welcoming and warming experience and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to camp on the North Shore
Very basic campsite
Mike was friendly but the campsite is pretty disappointing, very basic and the toilet/shower were quite unsanitary. From the 5 private campsites we tried around oahu this was the one we enjoyed the least. Also note that the location on the map is about half a mile off and there is no address provided so it is difficult to find especially in the dark.
Mike is a friendly, welcoming, helpful host. And a gem of a human, really. We appreciated his great beach and hike suggestions. The site had everything we needed: shade, tables and chairs, ideal location for short travel time to where we wanted to go, toilet and shower facilities. Mike even ran an electrical cord to our tent so we could charge our phones. Wifi is good. Bring earplugs for road noise if you are a light sleeper. Overall, great stay!!
Homestead across from the ocean!
We had a wonderful time camping on Michael's homestead! It was an easy walk to a beautiful beach for swimming and snorkeling. We also found a community center nearby that had a yard sale and a farmers market with delicious food! 7-Eleven is also a quick walk. 3 of us stayed in our van while 2 people camped in a tent. There was an area for us to hang our clothes and a toilet (with a bidet!) and a shower. Michael was very friendly and it was a joy to chat with him! This is a great spot on the island!
Absolutely loved exploring this side of the island! So tranquil and beautiful. Mike was an amazing host, very accommodating and thoughtful. The site was the perfect home base to explore the east and north shore. The site is super close to seven eleven which was nice for a quick snack or coffee in the morning before adventures. I loved seeing both the beach and the mountain from the site. Definitely would stay again.
We stayed here for almost a week and it was so lovely! Micheal is so kind and hospitable. There were flushable toilets and a shower (cold water). We even had an electrical outlet at our site which was unexpected and very exciting when we saw it!
