Fun stay at the movies
What a fun experience! I'm already planning a return visit. This was a great one-night stay where I watched the two first-run movies.
I set up on the top level and backed up against the bushes. I was too lazy to put up my tent and slept in my car. The bathroom was clean upon arrival and well used by the next morning. The hot shower is a nice touch. The guys in the concession stand were friendly and welcoming.
It was a quiet night's stay and I felt safe. The drive-in is dog-friendly and my dog slept through the movies. Looking forward to staying here again!
Best way to watch a movie, ever
I loved my experience at the Tiger Drive-In! Movie-goers who plan to camp after the film(s) can park in the back two rows. The parking surface is grass...nice! I chose a spot in the back row, up against the trees because it felt more like camping - still a good view of the screen. I was able to park my teardrop sideways, so that I could watch from inside through the open door in case it got cold...and it did! You can't have a campfire here. They broadcast the audio over speakers, so you aren't limited to watching in your car.
The outdoor shower is great, and there are restrooms. There is also a charcoal grill for campers to use.
I will definitely return to the Tiger Drive-In with my camper. The BEST way to watch a movie, ever.
Tiger Drive In was such a cool place to camp! I got lost on my way in but Tom answered his phone immediately and walked me through how to get there. Got to watch the goonies and gremlins before falling asleep and found the whole experience very pleasant!! Can’t wait to visit again.
We absolutely loved staying at Tiger Drive in! What a unique experience! Usually when I fall asleep at the drive in, someone comes and taps on my window to make me leave. This was well maintained,, the bathrooms were very clean and well stocked and the shower was nice and hot. The dumpster made it easy for us to keep our site clean. The playground was nice and level and the equipment was all in good condition. The movies were easy to watch as the screen was a good height and distance for us. We had 4 kids and two adults. There were other young people there and the town of Clayton was super close so we could get the groceries we forgot as well as a cup of McDonald's coffee.
Tom and his wife provided incredible hospitality and were very accommodating to last minute modifications regarding my stay. I'd definitely stay here again -- next time during a movie screening.
Great place for a one night stay! No one really camps out . Only people come for the drive in theater movies which are the same movies every night on that same weekend .. No shade for tent ⛺️ camping either . Shower was nice but bathroom was dirty and not cleaned everyday . Other then that great experience for a one night !
Great campin experience camping.
This was a great experience for all of our party. My grandkids had never been to a drive in movie. I will definitely visit again. We camped in a 32 foot motorhome and we towed a car. We watched the movie from inside our rv because it was raining.
