The property is only minutes from a boat ramp to drop your boat in and then make your way to Shady Grove. If you’re interested, there are great local restaurants less than 10 minutes down the road. By boat you can get to 2 restaurants that are right on the water and offer delicious food with an unbeatable atmosphere.
Owners live in a cabin on the property but you will have as much privacy as you'd like. There is a second house that is vacant on the property that you will use for water and electric hook ups, but the house will be locked and not accessible for anything else.. There is room for multiple tent camping and possibly a second RV/camper if you have people traveling with you, please reach out if you have questions or want more details on those options.

We set up camp next to the creek and enjoyed the sounds of nature as the day ended. The quiet setting was perfect which included a fire ring, picnic table and dock area. The hosts, Tim and Carol, were welcoming and willing to give us our privacy. Wish we had been able to stay another night so we could have paddled and explored the waterways.
Perfect little hide away hole
The property owners were very lovely people! Very kind and accommodating. Husband builds furniture in a shop by the campsite but is respectful about your space. Very down home folk. Only complaint of any kind was within earshot if the back porch of the house. Worried about waking up sleeping residents while being up all night. We already are planning another trip back
Great grounds along a river (that connects to the big lake) with a nice floating dock for fishing. My kids caught big catfish and a couple bluegill. This spot is more fitting as a family fun spot than a couple's retreat due to the proximity of the hosts and surrounding neighborhood. Hosts were super nice, friendly, and helpful--happy to accommodate us.
Great host & huge catfish 😁
Molly reached out to us the day before arrival to see if we had any questions and welcome us to Shady Grove.
When we arrived on Friday evening we were greeted by Carol and she made sure we felt welcomed and if we had any questions.
The site offered a perfect tent spot tucked into some trees, a picnic table, extra table, dock, floating dock Weber grill, fire pit, electric hook-up, water, bathroom and amazing fishing.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Camping in style
This campsite is incredible! Right beside the water and nearly everything you could want while camping - from a floating dock for jumping in the creek to a fire pit for grilling to a flushing toilet and shower for staying fresh even while camping outdoors. The site is near the property owner's house and they are extremely friendly and more than willing to provide any assistance or guidance you might need.
Waking up to sunrise over the mountains was beautiful. The creek was so peaceful and I loved the sound of the nighttime critters. Bullfrogs, owls, and others I couldn’t place. Loved it!
Great spot by the river
Great spot right by the creek set back from the host’s house. Host had kayaks we could use and a couple fishing poles for the kids. Nice fire circle, picnic table, floating dock with chairs, easy water access with hose, and bathroom with shower.
