If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We came to Munson Hill to escape the state park Labor Day crowds and couldn’t have been happier. Lovely little farm tucked into the valley with perfect flat ground for tent camping. Far enough out of the city to do some stargazing, but still just an easy drive out of the city up 75. Brit loves his property and expects those who stay there to treat it with the same respect. We had a wonderful quiet stay, and will definitely keep Munson Hill in mind for future get aways.
I brought my two young kids into the woods for the first time at Brit’s farm. They have been begging to go back since! We loved having the cow pastures nearby, and Brit was a kind and accommodating host. There was a quiet stream running by the camp area, and plenty of open space to feel secluded. Thanks Brit!
Pretty place nice host
Britt was a knowledgeable and fun host who is proud of his property as he should be! Thanks for being so kind and fun to talk to! My kids enjoyed your hospitality as well! We all recommend if you want peaceful place without having to drive too far from the city.
The property was beautiful and we loved exploring all of it and will definitely be back again! Loved having the running water between the sites, and my son really enjoyed the cows!! The space was perfect, especially when camping with kids! I prefer to not see others when camping so that was the only downfall, although the other campers were quiet and respectful of the place. We will be back!!
First time camping
We had a great time staying at Brit's farm. He was very welcoming and helpful. It was nice to be by the creek and it was quiet. There was supposedly a toilet /shower for the ladies, but when we went looking we couldn't figure out where it was, maybe inside the house? We had a great night and would highly recommend the campsite. Thanks
Just what we were looking for...
Myself and my team of campers want y’all to know what an incredible time we had at Munson Hill Farm. Brit is an incredible host and the property is amazing. We did get to choose our site since we were the only ones booked for the weekend. We chose the one near the old barn and next to the creek.
We did have a miscommunication with HipCamp. Brit, the host, never received our confirmation. I contacted HC and it got straightened out, but we did ‘surprise’ Brit, because he never knew we were coming. However, he was incredibly welcoming and let us get settled in and set up before sorting out the reservation stuff. (I wanted to make sure he got paid and he did so all is right.)
This is a NO trace left behind site so plan to bring your own stone or brick for a fire pit and clear it after. You can use stone from the creek but the bank where we were is a bit steep so we just used our bricks.
We loved how quiet it really is out here. We have tried a few places on HipCamp and to our dismay they are close to highways or busy town roads and don’t offer the tranquility we are all searching for, that was until we fond Brit and Munson Hill Farm.
We plan to be back this winter for a cool weather weekend at the farm and to explore the cave. Y’all have a great time and enjoy!!
