Beautiful property and very well maintained.
Michael was SO nice.....the tumbler gift set & firewood was greatly appreciated!!! The lakefront spot is beautiful & very private though you aren't far from the host if the need presents itself. We did have a hard time getting our pull behind up one of the hills on the dirt road....we slung a bunch of gravel but we made it. Just be sure to get a little speed going up those hills. The driveway was packed gravel and the site was VERY well maintained with a new grill, fire ring, table, 6 chairs & wifi. Great fishing spot so bring your gear....we caught mostly crappie & bass. Not the best for swimming but very good for still water kayaking. We went to Watson's Mill to admire the covered bridge and cool off in the shallow rock pools of the Broad River.

If you’re looking for peace and serenity in North Georgia, centrally located to all the mountains have to offer, this is absolutely on the do not miss list! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. There are other Hipcamp sites in the area, but this is absolutely the best. You will have a completely private site, with a stunning view of the lake, and the hillside field on the other side. You will feel safe and secure at night, and completely surrounded by nature during the day. While exploring be sure to check out the local Ingles supermarket (Starbucks :)), and we would highly recommend a Saturday drive over to Amicalola Falls. Site hookups were top notch once we learned how gravity works in the hills (we’re from Florida 😂). Wifi was a great plus (signal is excellent) as long as you’re not expecting to Zoom all day long while streaming Netflix :). Gas grill worked perfectly, and we actually ended up using it more than our camper outdoor kitchen. As others have said, expect to navigate some gravel hill roads in to paradise, but we would 100% do it again. SO with it. Thanks so much Micheal, we appreciate everything you did, as well as your welcome gifts!

Loved camping at Michael's site! Very quiet, private and a beautiful lakefront spot. We were met with a welcome gift bag with the cutest set of tumblers! The campsite has everything you need for a short or extended stay. We caught fish every day, enjoyed some camp fires and took a couple of daytrips to nearby attractions and towns. 10 out of 10 recommend, and will be planning a trip back very soon!
Great spot! Wonderful communication, easy set up - beautiful location! Will definitely visit again.

We really loved staying here and would definitely recommend this spot. Michael was friendly and flexible with our arrival time, and had everything clean and ready. All the facilities were clean and new: power box, water connection, and sewer; new picnic table and chairs; fire ring and Adirondack chairs. The lake was quiet with the occasional peaceful fisherman floating by. The stars at night were incredible.
This spot is a short drive from Athens, Victoria Bryant State Park, and Watson Mill State Park, so there was plenty to do, but we didn’t have all the hubbub of being in a group camping park.
We’ll be going back.

This place is BEAUTIFUL! You open your door to find the lake only a few feet away. We caught some fish and enjoyed the wildlife. There is a very nice patio set near the fire pit with a couple of Adirondack chairs around it. There is also a gas grill available for use. Though we brought our own firewood there was a bundle provided.
It was peaceful and our dogs enjoyed it as well. I highly recommend lakefront get away for your next hipcamp adventure.
I will say that when we stayed a storm came through and dumped 3 inches of rain overnight. When we went to leave the next morning we ended up getting stuck. Michael came and pulled us out even while being slightly under the weather!
Super friendly people with an absolutely amazing spot!
