Places to see near Brooks Lake, a piece of Heaven
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Spectacular spot for a weekend getaway! Jackie was a wonderful host. The campground and lake were beautiful, secluded, and extremely well maintained. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We will definitely return in the future.
Great escape from the city
My daughter and I loved spending a couple of days here this weekend. Much more space than a typical campground, and the place is beautiful. Jackie and her family are so friendly and helpful, and made you feel like you were visiting family. We didn’t want to leave!
A secret gem
This place is a hidden paradise and it’s soooo close to Atlanta. Caught my first bass here on my second cast and that will always be memorable. The land is one of a kind and it felt very private. I have a 29 ft trailer RV and had no issues getting it here. Portable water / some water sites available and up to 50 amps too with lots of other plugs. The lake...serene. I rented a boat my whole stay and it was great. But none of the above is the main reason why I would come back. The host Jackie and the WHOLE family are wonderful people and treated me like family, which is the main reason I’d come back. Ps you’re close enough to Atlanta where you can still drive to work from here!
Thank you for a memorable weekend and sharing your beautiful property for others to enjoy.
Don't hesitate! you'll love it here
I planned this trip for my wife's birthday. I was looking for a place that we can get away. A perfect get away would be camping and fishing. I was looking for a place that would offer both.
Brooks Lake IS THE PLACE!!!
Jackie was a GREAT HOST. Very attentive to us and all other campers and VERY responsive when I had a question.
We had a great time!!!
If you are looking for a place that has camping, fishing and a great family environment while offering tranquility and safety......Jackie has provided this for you.
DO NOT hesitate on coming here...you will LOVE IT
Hands down one of the most peaceful experiences I’ve ever had. Mrs.Jackie even personally came by to our site to see how things were to our liking! She made sure we had everything we needed and information on where the closest stores were as well as fire wood sellers. Very quick to respond to messages and very clean bathrooms (which is hard to find in campsites). This will be my new traditional campsite, I would prefer to keep it a secret, but Mrs.Jackie deserves all the business!
Few places deserve “Paradise” to be a part of their description, but it certainly fits nicely when describing our experience. I think Jackie P. is retiring making it a little hard to refer to her as our host, so we will just call her a new good friend. Roby made sure that we had all the information that we needed prior to our trip and Cade was there to make sure that we had everything we needed once we got there. He helped us pick out the best spot on the lake and we enjoyed the most wonderful visit with Ms. Jackie. Both were so kind and welcoming.
As for the property, this is an absolutely gorgeous place, the upkeep was amazing, everything was clean and so well organized. With so many sites on the lakeside, it is hard to call the sites “private”, but there is a lot of space between sites, making it easy to spread out and we never felt that our privacy was invaded. We picked site #4 when we arrived and it is located on “the point”. This site set the bar high! 20 amp power supply, a fire pit, enough shade, a trash bin, all surrounded by the lake, as it was almost like we had our own little island. We had very high expectations based on the reviews here and our expectations were exceeded.
