South Georgia at its best! Down a dirt road through a rusty gate, big night skies and quiet you can feel. We have 150 acres out in the sticks with the Satilla river, Altamaha river, Okefenokee Swamp, Cumberland Island National Seashore and the Golden Isles beaches nearby. This is a working small organic farm with lots of free range birds and rough edges so dog’s need a leash 24/7 and sorry no kids under 12. A couple free eggs and small portion of veggies/herbs is almost always available. Guests can stay private or share common spaces but either way a respectful, clean up after yourself, lets talk about traveling/rivers/farming attitude is expected. Absolutely no politics. Simple common kitchen with wood stove, common fire pit with firewood, outdoor hot and a cold shower, outhouse, a dock by the pond and better than 2 miles of hiking trails make it work. Paddlers that have their own boats can talk to us about shuttles. Come check us out Y'all!

We enjoyed our stay and listening to all the nature sounds at the pond. The hut was secluded and comfortable, and there was room to sit our 2 camp chairs inside the screened room to relax. Plenty of shade, but some sunny areas close by too which was nice for charging our solar gear. We had fun watching the chickens and guineas roaming around!

I absolutely loved staying here! The hut was so cozy, and having a kitchen to cook in was super convenient. Lots of cute animals and the hosts were great! I will definitely be back, 10/10!

The pond hut was plenty comfortable. All you need is a good sleeping bag and a pillow. You’ll have access to a kitchen with running water and a propane stove.

Tracy's set up is great. The hut, kitchen, and bathroom are all spread out but it's not too far to be a problem. There's very little light pollution here so the star gazing is excellent and if the moon is out you don't even need a flashlight to get around. I loved having the little camp kitchen to make breakfast in and the fresh eggs were a treat! Would definitely stay again!

This is a really special spot with special hosts. Well built hut and exceptional scenery. Tracy and Marsha are generous, genuine kind hearted people. I can’t wait to try the greens and eggs they shared with us! Although we didn’t use the amenities, there is everything you need near the site (kitchen, outhouse, etc.) for an enjoyable camping trip. I would love to stay again and plan on doing so!

Morning views from bed!

Booked the hut, but Tracy let us stay in the kitchen. Everything was amazing, peacocks and chickens, as well as a very friendly dog. We even got a tour of the veggie garden and some free samples. Not to mention the free history lesson.
Overall, Tracy and his wife were amazing hosts and would recommend them to anyone looking for very friendly and accommodating hosts.
