This property has belonged to my family for generations. I grew up here learning to ride horses and rope cows. I learned to swim in the spring just down the road from my house. Most of our property is devoted to raising cows and horses which we use to help guide the youth of the community in ensure they stay out of trouble. This portion of property we reserved to allow others to come and visit our wonderful community and share in a piece of our dream. we are willing to do long term rentals. we do have other locations. When pulling into the property turn in just in front of the 5 rivers adventure airboat tours blue sign. DO NOT TRUST GPS! DO NOT TURN unless you turn into drive way on left. if you go strait on wacissa springs road you will be able to turn around. turn by hipcamp signs. Has 50 amp hookups so you may need an adapter. water and septic.

This was a nice quiet spot and less than 1/2 hour drive to FSU where we were going for a track meet.

Amazing!!!

Loved the safety of this camp. Roy takes care of everyone and is super hospitable. 3 minute walk to water. Great bbq area and shaded by 100 year oaks. Water and electric available. Can’t ask for a better place to stay. Highly recommended!!!

Nice outpost for Tallahassee visit

Beautiful trees. In and out with no fuss at all. Center power post for sites 2&3 has standard 110 outlets plus the 50 amp outlets. No 30 amp outlets. Water is well water but no problems here and tastes good. Not a place for walking around. Wd be nice to have directions to find the spring.

Wacissa Springs Southwood

This was our first hip camp booking and it was wonderful. Dude let us know immediately that we could come ( we were evacuated from a flooding Florida caverns) .dude has full hookups which worked for us as we needed 5 nights. Partly fenced, tons of space, short drive to Tallahassee and wacissa springs a short walk down the road. We kayaked nearly every day .

Laid back hospitality

The site is just a few blocks from Wacissa Springs Park launch/beach where we had two lovely paddles. It’s a corner lot so there was traffic but it was quiet at night. With 5 full hook ups for 3 spaces there’s plenty of flexibility under shading large oaks. The horses in the neighboring paddock are friendly, there’s even a miniature horse! 30 minutes drive to Tallahassee center.

Laid back in the shade

Just a few blocks from the Wacissa Springs Park put-in for two lovely paddle trips. Full hookups for 5 makes for a lot of flexibility under shady oaks on packed sandy soil. 30 minutes to Tallahassee. It’s a corner lot, so there’s some traffic but quiet at night. Your host, Dude is a good guy, his horses are friendly too!
