I had a great stay on Beth’s land. I wanted to find a spot near to Silver Springs to paddle board and this was perfectly located. They went out of their way to make me feel at home and even helped me shuttle my car so I could float down from the Headspring. Great Spot.
Great location! Beth and Michael were very accommodating and replied very promptly with any text questions.
(Note Google and iMaps both show the entrance a bit further down the road).
Great little place. Very unique. Hosts are extremely kind and accommodating. You can tell they enjoy offering their space to share. Had an amazing night's sleep there!
Mike and Beth were amazing! Every effort was made to make our weekend as pleasant and relaxing as possible by the hosts. Would very highly recommend! We will definitely be returning and telling everyone we know about them! Thank you for everything!
I loved tent camping on Beth’s land. The site was wooded and very serene. There is enough room to create your own space without being too close to other campers. Mike, Beth’s husband, was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable. We will definitely be coming back!
Had a great weekend tent camping on Beth’s property! Upon arrival we were greeted by Beth and welcomed to her acres of property behind her house. Power was provided by our host, we just used a few of our own extension cords to reach our further back camp. There are sites available closer to the house for easier access! Very kind and helpful hosts! Beth’s husband was also there and offered breakfast and any help. We didn’t need much so we stayed unbothered toward the back of the property! Can’t wait to return with friends for another Silver Springs weekend!
Asked where hookup was and host pointed to camper at end of property with a string of extension cords running to it. He then added a splitter to that run and started running more cords to my camper. I expressed concern over both of us on one outlet with that many cords and insisted on a separate outlet. He said ok (they really were super nice and accommodating hosts) and added several of his cords to mine to reach. I crossed my fingers and plugged in my fridge. Didn't risk plugging in our MacBooks, which were useless with the weak wifi.
Next morning I got a closer look. There were 4 cords totaling 90 feet running from my camper to a nonGFCI outlet. Other camper had 200 feet (I measured) of 16g cords! One had electrical tape on it. They were attached to an INDOOR power strip, then to a non-GFCI outlet.
Way too many cords together. What would be safe on a single cord can overwhelm multiple cords, causing the appliances to overheat and become damaged or worse cause a fire.
16 gauge cords are fine for light duty but can become overwhelmed when multiple cords are strung together.
The National Electric code NEC 210-8 states: "GFCI protection shall be provided for all receptacle outlets installed in bathrooms, … and outdoors." This is to protect against electrocution in wet conditions.
Indoor cords used outdoors are dangerous.
I really do not want to leave a negative review, but feel obligated to warn folks.
