RoyDude was super helpful and friendly.
Great location right next to the springs!

Great location, and I'd really recommend getting there with enough time to walk down the road to rent a kayak for a few hours. The water and wildlife viewing was spectacular!
We had a wonderful time staying at Roy's campground. It's a very short bike ride from the Wacissa Springs boat ramp which has a lovely little beach, rope swing, and several socks. There are several kayak rental places right near the boat ramp and kayaking the springs was beautiful! Roy was very kind and helpful. I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a peaceful spot close to the springs.
RoyDude’s 4 sites were off the beaten path but easy to find; not too far from I-10 or Tallahassee, but far enough out to see a starry night without light pollution. Well water, 50 amp power and full sewer hookups easily available, as well as a fire pit with Adirondack chairs and firewood provided. RD is an awful nice guy; we hope to return when we have more time to take advantage of the nearby spring/kayaking opportunities.
Great place to stay. I was in the area for an Appleseed event at IDMR. Very close and nice to have full hookups. I was in site 2. All sites are full 50 amp with water and sewage hookups. I have already been recommending this campground to others. I plan to return to this location for all of my trips to the area.
Dude was a great host! He is working on expanding the property to include so much more than what is currently there. But even right now, there are 4-5 great spots, all with 50amp power. He has a great setup with a firepit and some really nice chairs under a large tree. A basketball net and plenty of room for kids and dogs to run around. This property has the best water we've drank from any campground. Very clean, very tasty. It's only about a mile from natural springs, which would be great for fishing, kayaking, and other water activities during the summer. It's also only about a 40 minute drive from several State/National parks and the city of Tallahassee. All in all, a great stop with good people close to so much. Parking vehicles is a little tight if all the spots are full, but I'm sure that will be part of the expansion. Thanks for a great stay Dude!

Not up to expectations from booking
Not what we expected.. This wouldn't be a vacation spot, in my opinion... There were others staying there that were nice people. There is the owners dog who runs free, a tad annoying, she and my dog did not get along, she nipped his ear. Shes an older dog.
The property was clean, fire pit was nice, the kids had plenty of space to run around. There is NOT water access from this property but its not far up the road.
This place would be good if you're traveling and just need a place to stay for the night.

We Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
We Met up with some lifelong friends. The kiddos truly enjoyed it as well as the adults. It’s so nice to have the springs write down the same road!
Roy was awesome getting back to me on all my silly questions!
We may end up meeting friends back at this spot!
My only issue was the mosquito truck that literally drove by us spraying, at 8pm, when the kids were playing right there!
