Secluded and quiet
Retreat from the city is just what we were looking for. Lots of bird watching and reading under the oak trees. Great place for some R&R.
If we come back we will try to figure out how to bring our boat so we can do some bass fishing!
Spanish moss + lake views!
Awesome camping spot! Private with great views. We arrived just before sunset and we’re able to set up camp, start a fire and enjoy the sunset. It was just as beautiful when we woke up. Close to downtown Orlando!
The view was perfect, the area was clean, quiet and peaceful. The orange groves were a huge bonus for fresh orange juice! This was my firdt hipcamp experience and i cant wait for my 3xt trip.
Scott’s property was amazing, beautiful, isolated, and so much more. A perfect place to avoid the hustle and bustle of Orlando, but in an area where you can access the tourist sites and come back to some serenity!
Quiet, peaceful, safe for solo
This place was exactly what it’s advertised to be… which is a little slice of heaven on earth. The property owner has very easy directions and my GPS brought me right to the first gate. He met me on site and drove me further back on the property so that I could have a place that was very peaceful and very isolated which is exactly what I wanted. There are huge trees with Spanish moss scattered throughout the property and where I was was surrounded on three different sides by orange groves and the lake. I stayed under a barn but could’ve slept under any of the trees or closer to the lake or really anywhere I wanted. I did not see one other person while I was there for two days which is exactly what I was looking for but I had cell phone reception so I was able to get in touch with the property owner should anything have happened which made me feel very safe. I have some sensory issues and a lot of times when I stay in other peoples properties out in the country you’ll hear a lot of dogs barking but because this is like a lakefront campsite I may be heard two or three dogs the whole time I was there and they were far in the distance. After spending two days on this property hiking through the woods on the trails and walking around by the lake and walking through the orange groves I came home feeling very relaxed and completely refreshed.
This property is amazing. It’s so beautiful here. We brought our 2 dogs and there was so much space for all of us to explore. The orange grove, the pine trees, huge oak trees, & if you bring a paddle board you’re able to drop in right at the campsite.
I loved this place! I just needed a place to car camp for a couple nights near Orlando and while this was great for that it was upsetting because it just made me wish I had more time here! This is such a gorgeous property and it was a great way to wake up and not at all far from Disney (plus way cheaper than staying there!). I didn’t get to meet Scott but he was still attentive and helpful over texts so I felt very welcomed! I will definitely be returning and making time to take advantage of all the gorgeousness on this property.
