Welcome to Roaming Wild Hideaways Madison Blue Springs! We are an adventuring family of 8 who decided we love coming down to Florida every winter from our home in Minnesota, so why not create our own place to camp and while we are away, share it with other camping and outdoor enthusiasts like you! We hope you enjoy your rustic camping experience and get to enjoy the beautiful Madison Blue Springs State Park that is right down the road! You can swim, tube, kayak, cave dive, hike, play volleyball, and have a picnic in this hidden gem! It is also in a great central location for exploring either the gulf side of the ocean or the Atlantic, which both are about an hour to two hours away. Rainbow Springs State Park is about 2 hours south and has a lot to explore on the way! If you have any questions or problems during your stay, please contact us! Enjoy, The Bigelows Learn more about this land: We are slowly working the land and we were able to clear a driveway and parking. Please note that because it has been recently excavated, the driveway could be muddy after heavy rain. There is room for a couple RVs or a tent campsite nestled in the forest under a canopy of tall pines. There is also a fire pit, trees for hammocks, and a pit toilet. And our kids worked extremely hard on a fun nature playground with sand, a fort, balancing logs, tic tac toe, and a swing! Make sure to check out the photos. Always a great spot.
This has turned into my go to spot for quick little trips to get away for the night. The area is quiet. But town is nearby. Surrounded by trees and a handy little outhouse and bench. A great little spot that me and my dog love. 🥰

it was nice…
so i honestly didn’t even want to post a review because idk i usually never do but if you’re wanting to go here pls be careful of ants and ticks. we had to basically evacuate a day early because while we were at the spring, the ants decided to chew thru the bottom of our tent and they were all over everything including our bed. we probably should have brought a tarp but we never camped before so it was our first time and we didn’t know but other than that it was nice. it was very secluded by lots of trees and no one bothered us. i will say though, it didn’t look like the photos that much it was grown up a lot and we were kinda scared to walk around considering we were finding ticks on us. it’s just nature at the end of the day but idk i have never seen that many ants just be in one area but with all that being said we do plan to come back when we visit the springs again it was a nice little area with everything we needed

There’s a swing and sandbox for the kids, a trail as well. The view of the stars is amazing. Firewood is already there for you, and there’s a shed filled with things to use. The highway is very loud.

Had super communication about how to find the Hideaway! Large spot tucked away in a wooded area. Glad we had bug spray! Our dog loved romping around in the area. Went to Madison Blue Springs across the road after set up. Beautiful crystal clear water. Refreshing after a long day’s drive. Went back later in the early evening to walk the trails there with our pup! You could hear traffic from the main road, but it wasn’t an issue for us!

Great little spot!
My second time camping here and it was great! They cleared the land a bit more and now you can drive right into the spot. Added a picnic table and a cute little sand pit for kids. You can hear the highway a bit but overall a great little spot!
