Camp under the stars at our 1 acre creek side primitive camp site, surrounded by juniper and pine trees, located directly across from a large sandbar that you have access to. The campsite is equipped with an outdoor garden shower along with 2 solar shower bags available per request, porta potty, 55gal water barrel for filling shower bags and hand washing, 2 hammocks, 2 chairs, charcoal grill and campfire grill, storage table, picnic table, umbrella table and tiki torches (fuel not included). I have put together a large tote full of common camping gear and utensils to help reduce your camping check list that you can also request (see pic for everything included). Warm white solar lights are strung around the fire pit area to help create a relaxing atmosphere and a solar lit trail along the 100ft creek front. Minutes from Adventures Unlimited for zip-lining. The road down to the creek-lot has terraces & can get slightly bumpy and rough at times depending on the amounts of rain we have had so low riding cars are not recommended but your more than welcome to park up at my residence and I can take you down. We include your first bundle of firewood and a small bag of chipped lightered wood for fire starter in your booking price. Additional firewood is available for puchase at $10 a load. If you run out during your trip please let me know and you can purchase more thru paypal or cash. Kayaking and Canoeing trips available Fri-Sun depending on weather. This spot is perfect for large family & friends camping trips, with plenty of room to park and set tents or for a small couples/family get-away.

Places to see near Rest & Relaxation
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Fantastic spot! Everything is laid out well and Cara provides all of the "extras" that usually get left (forgotten) at the house. We had a great time and are already talking about staying for a week.
This is a terrific campsite. Right on the creek and lots of space to spread out. Good cooking area. Nice fire pit area for hanging out. It’s well lit with strung cafe lights around the fire pit and some staked lights around the perimeter. Plenty of flat space to set tents on.
And I think you could easily wade across the creek to a sand bar with a couple chairs and cooler for a beach hangout vibe.
Cara the host is awesome and communicative. We bought some fresh eggs from her that were excellent.
Rockstar host and amazing property
Cara's property is amazing. We had everything we needed and more. The hammocks by the water are perfect for relaxing. The lighting around the site made nights with kids so much easier. The motion lights at the edge near the water were perfect for making sure nobody took a tumble from not being able to see. The potty was clean and the shower setup was fantastic. We felt safe, even with a small child, the whole time we were there. We were even able to leave camp setup while we adventured on the creek for the day with no worries.
Cara is a rockstar of a host too! She greeted us when we arrived and even got a fire started and made sure lights were working for us because we arrived well after dark. It was an absolute blessing to have her go that extra mile since we were delayed by several stressful series of events leaving home. (Personal stuff, not anything to do with Cara or her property) She checked on us throughout our trip but gave us privacy. The farm fresh eggs were delicious and we had more than enough firewood. She also gave us a great list of things to do nearby, based on our interests and the ages of folks in our party.
Our trip was perfectly relaxing and fun. We couldnt have asked for a better host and we will definitely be back.
Personal best campsight yet!
The camp was very private, pleasurable, tranquil and clean. Equipped with all necessities for the stay. We enjoyed the quietness, solitude and the invigorating waters of the Colwater creek as well as the beautiful bright stars, great for star gazing. Camp hostess was supper helpful, friendly, and went above and beyond!
Primitive camping made convenient
This was an absolute ideal place. Cara was an amazing host making sure we had everything we needed right down to firewood. A primitive camping trip typically takes me 3 hours to set up but booking this spot with Cara took less than an hour because all I had to do was set my tent and bed up. I had 4 options of cooking that I did not have to provide as well as all the pots, pans, dishes and utensils and yes even a coffee pot. The site was not only clean and private, it was exceptionally relaxing due to the soft lighting that was provided. Before this experience our primitive camping potty was a small shovel with a roll of toilet paper attached, fortunately, Cara also provided us with a clean and well lite port-a-potty. Fresh water was also provided for us in easy to access barrels and we had a pretty neat shower and private dressing room. If you have never been primitive camping I’m not sure you could fully appreciate this experience but for us who are familiar with the struggle yet still enjoy the challenge this is the perfect spot and the perfect host.
