Camp Awesome
Our favorite campsite yet
Camp Awesome is exactly that. If you have a 4x4 this is the best campsite ever. You can park right by the Quarry. If not, like us, we parked just up the road a little in a quiet camp spot that was just a short walk to the quarry. There are insane owls that you can call into camp for quite the show! There is also a trail to walk to look at the quarry from the top ledge, so beautiful or you can go swimming. The water was the perfect temperature this weekend, we spent hours swimming!

Camp Awesome
Hands down the best campsite ever!
Randy’s campsite was absolutely breathtaking!
We were able to listen to the barred owls by night and watch swallow-tailed kites hunt for food by morning. The water was a gorgeous blue green color surrounded by tall picturesque cliffs, something rarely seen in Florida.
Randy was extremely friendly and kind enough to show us his entire property from the sandy beach by the water to the top of the cliffs. It was my first time taking my two kids camping and it most definitely won’t be the last! I highly recommend Randy’s camp ground!
Thank you again Randy for the experience of a lifetime!

Camp Awesome
Perfect private lake!
First off, Randy was awesome in showing us around the property and giving us pointers on how to see the foxes and make the bard owl calls. the wildlife on this property was absolutely magical! The property is large with a fre areas good for a walk in the woods and the lake was amazing and very private. it was super awesome to have our own private lake for a few days to fish, swim, and splash around!
I would give this place 5 stars if we could access the lake from the camp area. unfortunately the only way to currently get to the lake is by driving around the outside of the property and parking along the not busy road. other than that it was an amazing place to visit and host was awesome!

Camp Awesome
Camp Awesome was a one-of-a-kind camping experience! The land is a fascinating quarry, and campers have access to both sides- the thick forest that leads to the top of the high rock drop-off/wall, and around the other access to the property is a short walk to a private beach to enjoy the beautiful quarry water.
We arrived in our 21 foot rv and set up camp among the woods where there is a cleared path that leads to the host’s own private camper, as well as a clearing with an antique camp stove that was fun to make a fire in during our stay.
In order to access the beach, campers need to drive or walk back along the main road and over a couple streets to get to the entrance. It was about a half mile walk. There isn’t much parking along the side with the beach, so the host recommended not to park there for extended periods of time. We drove our camper and parked on the sloped grassy shoulder for about an hour while we were enjoying the beach.
The spring fed rock quarry is absolutely stunning! You will have to hike down a mild steep hill to the beach area. There’s a 2 seat kayak available for campers to use which was a nice added bonus.. We had the place to ourselves, and we spent a relaxing late evening enjoying the water with our dog.
After our swim, we drove our camper back over to the other side of the property to set up a campsite for the evening.
This is a beautiful unique piece of nature that was private and peaceful surrounded by lush green plants. We fell asleep to the owls hooting, wonderful cool breezes, and a night sky full of stars without any light pollution.
