So lovely!! The fire pit was beautiful and super functional. Peaceful nights with a sky full of starts and cool breeze. My dog loved the open space and fun smells for sure.

This place is awesome!!! So beautiful and private. I arrived late and host greeted me outside and helped me locate a very level site as I was sleeping in my van. Super nice bathroom. The Ocala area around the property is gorgeous horse country. I loved my stay here.

This was our first Hipcamp experience, and it was a good one. Ken was very communicative. We had the field to ourselves and enjoyed the night air and the sounds of the many critters. They provide a private bathroom with a water dispenser and coffee, and they even allowed us to plug our portable refrigerator into a bathroom outlet and our hybrid car's trickle charge plug into their outside outlet. Yes, I do agree with previous posters that there's a definite risk factor with the many ant mounds in the camping field (so we didn't risk letting our canine companion run free), but we were able to select a fine ant-free spot to pitch our tent and had no worries there. And the price can't be beaten! If we're up for camping again on our return trip, we will probably try to visit here again!

Kens place was great and we would certainly camp here again. He was quick to respond and we loved the extras like bathroom access, a place for kids to play, and drinking water.
Some of the reviews mentioned fire ants being an issue, but we had no problems at all. I wouldn’t change a thing!

This was my first hipcamp trip, and it was so worth it! I'd definitely recommend staying here. The field was grassy and private, and we had so much space to spread out. We loved it, thanks again for hosting us.

Pros:
-Tons of Birds, Great for Bird Watching
-Ken offers you vegetables from his garden and eggs from his hen
-Clean facilities
-Can use electrical outlets in bathroom

Cons:
-Property is covered in red ant piles, had to move my tent, even though I checked and saw no piles they managed to get in my tent, no open toed shoes (I was disappointed as I like to do some grounding when I’m in nature)
-Very spotty WiFi. Only works full on when you’re in the bathroom spot. It didn’t work in the original camp spot he had for me all the way back in the back of the property. Since my phone only worked in the bathroom I had to move the tent close to the house.
-Don’t be surprised to hear Ken yelling at his kid or talking down to him or calling him names. Perhaps it won’t bother most but as a trauma survivor it really bothered me.

Based on my stay I would not recommend.
