Quiet place with beautiful sunsets
Nice quiet place. The pond is a little walk back from the camping spot but the sunsets over the lake are beautiful. Unfortunately it rained on & off all weekend which made the ground very swampy & hard to get the camper out. Melissa & her husband were very helpful when we had electrical issues. Fyi its well water so I wouldn't recommend getting a shower or wear a mask during your shower lol. Overall cool place to stay.
Yes bugs at night not daytime,, but that is October in south Florida. But everything else was great. Peace and quite, near Babcock Preserve. Only half hour to stores. When someone drove by they waved. Great sunsets also. Only negative was they need to clean the plastics out of fire pit. Will stay there again.
My parents stayed for 3 nights and I stayed for 2 nights. It was 7 mins from the checkstation for a quota hunt my dad and I were doing. My mother walked and explored some of the property and made sure to avoid the bee hives. It was what we needed to save us from having to drive back and forth a little over an hr each way to our houses. It's very quiet amd any neighbors we passed waved also nice for looking at the night sky since there is no light pollution. There was a fire pit but we didn't use it do to time constraints and there was also a lot of unburnable debris in there. Will definitely stay there in the future for other hunts or even if just some place close to go that's kinda remote.
