Awesome stay at farm near rainbow r
If you want to be close to Rainbow River and come back to cozy comfort this is the spot for you. Watch the sun come up over endless pature from the camper front window, views are amazing. Or the view of pature and horses just outside the door. No traffic noise just nature. Big comfy bed, bathroom and air conditioning. Slept so great after day at Rainbow. Woke up to friendly beautiful horses. Margaret is a wonderful host, so glad to have met her. Didn't want to leave and will book again soon!
Even though we were a last minute booking, Margret did everything she could to accomodate me and my daughter and be a great host. It was a real joy for my 7-year-old to get to stay with such a close view of the horses. The RV is older, but it was exactly as described, and my daughter loved climbing up in the loft. Everyone we met was so kind and accomodating, and they let my daughter help feed the horses, get a short ride and pet some puppies, too. It's a great way to get a taste of country living without breaking the bank.
Perfect escape and respite.
This was a perfectly serene escape from the city and provided respite after a long drive. Margaret had the place ready when I arrived and called to let me know as I pulled onto the property. The A/C was cold, extra pillows, cold and hot water were all set up along with a picnic table under a rain tarp with mosquito netting! There was a gas grill set up too. There is a fire pit if needed, though I was too tired to burn a fire safely. John was a fabulous host, and the kids were very polite. The sand is like powder, the A/C works great, and the bed was extremely comfortable. There are no words to describe the sunset and sunrise. Truly.
I highly recommend this incredible escape, and plan to book there again when traveling through the area.
A hidden gem in horse country
My 5 year old daughter and I had a lovely stay here! Margret and her family were so kind and accommodating, and even let my daughter have a few rides on one of the horses. It was a perfect balance of privacy and interaction.
I asked my daughter what she would say was her favorite part of our stay, she said, when I rode the horse, when I climbed the top bunk in the motorhome, and when I messed things up ;) great place for children to be children.
If your soul needs some quiet nature time and a little horse medicine I highly recommend a stay here. A hidden gem in the country.
p.s. although it's cold shower only, we found the water was warm in the afternoon from the hot sun heating up the hose into the motorhome, plus we went to crystal river for a swim and shower there.
