Sandwiched between the Homosassa River and the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, this property has unique features, including karst windows with bubbling fresh water, natural springs, and large, mature trees. Learn more about this land: Tucked along a narrow road, this unique site offers users direct access to the crystal clear waters of the south-east fork of the Homosassa River. Use our kayaks or bring your own to explore one of Florida’s Outstanding Waterways where you may meet a manatee, observe otters, find fish, or watch wildlife of all kinds. The site has direct access to Pepper Creek Trail, a 0.75-mile paved trail that is part of the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. While you’re there, swing into the state park to view the sparkling waters of the Homosassa head spring and meet all of the native wildlife ambassadors, including Florida panthers, black bears, endangered whooping cranes, and many other amazing animals. Interested in charter fishing, scalloping, or an ecotour? Your hosts are both professional, experienced charter captains. Avoid the crowds at the dock and step right onto the boat here! Ask for availability prior to your stay. The site is private and away from the hosts home, approximately 75-yards from the river, with electricity and water provided. There is no sewer hookup; restrooms and shower facilities are not available. If you plan on tent camping, please bring your own method to contain and dispose of solid toilet wastes. ***HURRICANE DAMAGE*** The small green building at the site sustained damage from Hurricane Idalia. We are working to repair the roof. It does not affect the campsite, however, it is unsightly and for that we apologize.Tucked along a narrow road, this unique site offers users direct access to the crystal clear waters of the south-east fork of the Homosassa River. What’s not to LOVE
What’s not to love. Private secluded campsite surrounded by green with walking access to the beautiful Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park and the beautiful Homosassa Springs River. We brought our own SUP but saw there were plenty supplies left by the host to utilize. Perfect spot to relax and unwind. We did get greeted by Florida’s state bird at dusk every night but we expected that and were prepared. The whole area just seemed laid back and chill. Was impressed to see Pop Fusions gourmet fruit pops selling on the River off a boat. Honestly the whole weekend was awesome. We will return.

Manatee Delight RV Camp Site
Absolutely amazing place! We enjoyed the privacy and easy walk to the crystal clear water. We saw several manatees, including mom and baby. Observing these amazing gentle creatures in this beautiful water was even more amazing than we hoped! Host is very kind and accommodating. We would love to return to this site. Only negatives were that it can be party cove on the weekends. The weekday was much calmer and peaceful. Also come prepared for mosquitoes. Other than that, it was perfection! One of our best camping trips ever.

BEST Hipcamp we’ve been to!!
My husband and I have used Hipcamp for a couple of years and stayed at sites all across the Southeast. Kate’s land far exceeded any place we have previously stayed at! Kate was quick to respond to my questions regarding the site and booking and directions were very clear. We spent 3 nights at the site and saw so much wildlife including manatees, owls, various fish and birds, and the nearby wildlife center animals, it was all incredible! The site itself is very nice - we roof top tent camp so we had plenty of room. The fire pit area was very nice and firewood is close to the site to pay for with cash or Venmo. The springs are just a short walk from the campsite, with a beautiful swimming area access. Huge hit with our kids! There are a variety of kayaks available to use too, which we loved. My 6 yr old likes to paddle on her own back home so it was great that they had some for her size to use here too. Paddling through the springs was amazing. Manatees are a short and scenic paddle from the launch site. The water is crystal clear which made it exciting for the kids to find fish on the way (there are lots!) There are also hiking trails nearby, so we decided to walk from our site to pepper creek trail (just a short walk through the beautiful forest) which then led to the wildlife center where we saw several FL native species including Black Bears, Florida Panthers, Flamingos, and manatees. They also have a resident hippo and red wolves. 10/10 Recommend! PERFECTION!

OMG! best location plus a private campsite with a fire pit and firewood available. Sidewalks/bike trails 99% of the way to both Homosassa and Crystal River. Walk a path from your campsite to Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. Plus you can make use of Kate's kayaks and paddle into town and see manatees along the way! Awesome hipcamp!
