Off grid homestead to me means being self contained with no wires or pipes to the outside. Boondockers and other off grid camping are welcome and small solar setups are available to see and learn. Water is clean from artesian well run by generator as needed to fill multiple storage tanks on property. Common area bathhouse has flush toilet, and huge open air shower with hot water on demand by propane heater. Common area fire pit with firewood available is next to our outdoor kitchen/bar with lights, stereo, propane stove, grill, and large sink.

Peace and quiet, safety, very nice
If you can't tolerate Trump supporters, I'm not left or right, anywho, this place is not for you, otherwise really nice people, clean bathroom, usable sink and kitchen area, pond is too small to kayak, but overall a really nice peaceful place with really nice people, first place i stayed without locking myself in at night, even fed me some really good eats, I would definitely stay again
Like camping in a friends backyard
I’m very glad I found this location for my first Hipcamp stay.
The site is far enough away if you choose to do your own thing but close enough for access to the bathroom and unique kitchen area.
I was invited to join in discussions on the porch and was glad to do so. Frank and open conversations is part of what fuels my desire to travel.
As an avid traveler himself, Matt has worked hard to create a peaceful atmosphere in the camp for guests. If you ever wondered if solar could work for you he’s a wealth of practical knowledge.
The bathroom is simply a great bonus for any camper. Despite being somewhat open to elements it’s every bit as clean and comfortable as a home bathroom. After a long days ride, going to bed clean is very welcome.
Each of the sites are flat and quite comfortable nestled among the trees with access to a private pond where you can simply relax.
I highly recommend adding this to your favorites list should your route come close.
Thank you Matt and Rachel for hosting us on this awesome off grid oasis you’ve created. Simply by talking to the hosts and staying on site you can tell they have put in a lot of work and energy into creating a welcoming, homey space for guests.
Site has shower/bathhouse (all solar), communal kitchen and communal fire pit. Short drive to local hiking trails. Flat and soft ground Easy for setting up tent.
Matt was super communicative and answered all my questions before arrival. Couldn’t have asked for better hosts and spot. Would definately Stay again if in the area.
Comfy and clean stay
Matt was a great host and a super nice guy. The place was really nice and cozy and the campsite was spacious. The bathrooms were close by and super functional. All the amenities were super helpful and made our stay really enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this spot!
Awesome and cool place to stay!
Matt was so nice! The campground is super cool with lots of awesome solar panel technology, made the experience really comfortable. There’s even a fully decked outdoor kitchen with a rain proof roof!
