Come and de-stress by snuggling our goats. These bouncing bundles of joy are guaranteed to make you smile! We also have chickens, peacocks, honeybees, and even a pig. We are near Tallahassee but in a rural area, down a bumpy dirt road, but we promise the trip is worth it. Kayaking and hiking right off the property, plus beautiful sunsets on the lake.

We are in a rural area of Tallahassee, along the Florida Big Bend Scenic Byway and surrounded by the beautiful Lake Talquin State Forest. Great fishing and hiking trails and beautiful sunsets. Two Trailwalkers and one Trailtrotter trails are just minutes away.  There is also a 10-mile Lines Bike Trail.  See trail maps in our photos!

We are about twenty five minutes from FSU stadium - straight shot! We love to host parents and students!  Great weekend getaway!

We offer a roomy water resistant glamping cabin tent with high quality queen beds and fresh linens.  You are welcome to have a fire at your site. If we are under a burn ban, there is a large communal fire pit by the outdoor kitchen. Don't forget to order some firewood when available. There is no electricity in our tent, but you may charge your devices in the common room.

One tent has two queen beds (site 1) and the other has a queen and two twins.

We provide water, wifi, and fresh fruits for the picking when in season.  We also have several extras from the farm you can request when you book such as our famous farm fresh biscuits with honey butter, milk bread, eggs, fudge, and goat milk soap.

We have a small outdoor kitchen area with grill, stove, utensils, and picnic table. Basic cooking ingredients are provided (oil, salt, pepper, etc) and you are welcome to pick from the garden when in season.

There is also a common room with sofas, fridge, microwave, tv, coffee, french presses, and tea kettle.

We have a small rustic bath house with hot shower and a composting toilet. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, and fresh towels provided.

There are also water spigots in the camping area.

Common areas and bath house is about 250 feet from camping area, which is located adjacent to the pasture.

Check-in/Check-out time may be flexible depending upon concurrent bookings! We ask that you clear your campsite by 11am, but you are welcome to spend the remainder of the day hanging out with the goats, kayaking, or just relaxing.

Private and group goat yoga classes may be available during your stay. Check the extras under our booking for schedule and to book a ticket.  You can also add milking lessons!

Please arrive before 7pm. Remember, there is an hour time difference if coming from the west. Late arrivals interfere with our milking and chore routine and we cannot stop milking to show you around. Farm folks also hit the hay pretty early! Please do not book and then tell us you will be arriving late. Thank you.

Things you should bring:

A Lantern

Refillable water bottles

Sunscreen if you plan to be out on the lake

Bug Spray

We are located at the end of a bumpy 3/4 mile dirt road off Highway 20/Blountstown Hwy on the lake.  Part of the road is paved, but most is dirt and we are prone to flooding after more than a couple of days of hard rain.   We have several cars in the neighborhood that don't have a problem on the road, but - full disclosure!  If bumpy dirt roads bother you, our road in is not for you.  We - and most of our guests - think it is worth it.

We offer a 10% discount for FFA, all goat and dairy association memberships, and 4H, just send your number when you book.

Feel free to message if you have questions!  The herd looks forward to meeting you!!

Took my goat-obsessed 15 year old daughter for the weekend. Everyone was extremely accommodating and we had a great time. We did not have ideal weather, but Tallahassee isn’t too far so we went to some local restaurants there. There are tons of hiking trails around, and we hiked a few in the State Parks nearby as well as a challenging one on the property along the lake. Definitely would like to return.

Camping at the goat farm was a great experience. The glamping tent was very tidy and the beds were comfortable. The goats were adorable and the host, Melissa, was incredibly kind and informative. I will definitely be coming back.

We had an amazing time camping for two nights. Melissa, the volunteers and all the goats were very friendly! We hiked on a nearby trail at Ft. Braden. This is a perfect place to get some quality outdoors time in, while still having a comfortable bed to come back to after a long day.

This is our third stay and we will be back! It is such a special place. It’s amazing and inspiring what Melissa is doing with the property and her well-loved animals. My son and I were even privileged to witness the birth of three goats this visit :). Go enjoy the goats and get all the add-ons— the biscuits, bread, jam, fudge and eggs are delicious!

Well set up, cozy spot. Loved spending time with the goats in the morning! Very tidy bath house with a great shower. The accommodation itself is simple, a big tent with 2 beds, so we thought that was a bit overpriced. But the extras on the farm (common hang out areas in and outside, nice facilities, and fun Xmas lights around) made us happy there!

Response from Goat House Farm, the Host, on February 24th, 2022

Hi Rose! Thanks for your review. We are so sorry you thought we were overpriced at $40 a night. We try really hard to be accessible to families while staying comparable to other places in the area. We hope all of our extra amenities and knowing your stay supported a nonprofit organization helped to make up for it!

The goat house farm was a perfect getaway for our family. The host and volunteers were kind and helpful. Our kids LOVED playing with the goats, feeding the chickens and getting to know the many cats. The beds in the clamping tents were super comfy and we had plenty of room for 3 kids and 2 parents. Great experience! Thank you goat house farm!!
