What a hidden gem! We decided to book this place for a quick weekend getaway and we were not disappointed. Our camping spot was nice and open and sat between some palms. The ground is a bit lumpy if you plan on dropping a tent (ours fits over our truck bed) and we didn’t notice any bugs besides a few ants but it was also a relatively cold weekend. We felt very secluded despite being close to the winery which had an outdoor shower and restrooms and was away from the RVs. We were also the only tent campers. Although they don’t keep the ‘nice’ toilet open at night the other porta potties (which are flushable toilets in a porta shell) were clean and comfortable and they had a hand wash station with running water. I believe the RV’s also have their own set of toilets so we didn’t really run into very many people after the winery closed. They had a big sink available next to the shower which made it easy for us to wash our dishes and although we opted not to use the shower (too cold outside) we would recommend bringing a robe as there didn’t appear to be enough room to change within the shower stall comfortably (personal preference- water shoes would be a must too). Our weekend consisted of wine tasting, listening to the great cover bands they have every Saturday and Sunday from 1-4 and disc golf in the vineyard (they rent them 3 for $8 and whatever you lose you pay for). We opted not to sit in on the concerts which I believe was $10 on Sat. and $5 on Sun. Between the winery and the events going on there was a lot of people around but they all stayed within the pavilion and it didn’t bother us. The shower is right by the restrooms but it is blocked off appropriately. The staff were so kind and friendly. Bri helped us out and was a gem. There was also a gentleman who I didn’t get his name that asked how we were doing and brought us additional firewood to our campsite after we searched every store for it with no luck. I’m not sure this is standard for them so I would plan on bringing your own firewood just in case. You also have to bring your own above ground fire pit but we had one so this wasn’t an issue. There is a large trash can for dumping as well as lots of recycle bins. The first night we didn’t have any creatures get into our bucket of trash but the second night something did top it over so make sure to dump trash before bed if you end up throwing away any food. All in all this was and is a great little getaway. We will be back!!
The camp site is awesome.
Nice area to set up tents. The bathrooms and shower were super clean. The staff were very helpful and so nice. Where else can you sample wine, play disc golf in a vineyard, listen to great music and enjoy a campfire and stars at night. I would recommend this site to everyone.
Wonderful experience. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Wines are delicious. Will definetely be back!
Although I only stayed one night... I HAD A BLAST. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Super clean for such a big place. Bathrooms and shower were clean. I honestly can’t wait to go back. They made my first camping trip worth while.
A wonderful place to stay on a beautiful property. Would have stayed longer but found this hidden gem while we were passing through going north. Great tasting wine, and a very nice staff there.
