We were looking for an alternative to crowded campgrounds; something a little different. Well we found it at Flamingo Pad in Tampa. Centrally located just north of downtown Tampa, Flamingo Pad is conveniently located to all that the area has to offer. Once you turn off of the paved roadway, the busy city transforms into a small taste of the old Florida. Mature tress draped with old man’s beard line the small canal on which the RV site sits. 50/30 amp power, city water and bathrooms are provided. You’ll need to have your shower facilities and reserve holding tanks. Our host Jen was very welcoming and accommodating. The reservation process was easy as well. We highly recommend Flamingo Pad and are looking forward to returning next year. Thank you Jen for sharing your slice of paradise.
An urban oasis
Flamingo Pad was a peaceful oasis nestled in the middle of metropolis. Your setting is along a live oak lined stream, a fire pit and an amazing elevated platform to view nature. Very cool!
Jennifer couldn’t have a been a more welcoming host. We’ll return.
A little slice of old florida!!
I was so pleasantly surprised with this little slice of old Florida. It was very scenic and tropical feeling yet very convenient to town. We faced our door to the water and enjoyed the view. The bathrooms were very clean and easy to access. Jennifer was an excellent warm and welcoming host. We really enjoyed our stay!
We loved this spot! Jennifer and her husband were super nice and helpful. My son caught fish and we enjoyed s'mores at the fire pit. Would definitely go back and definitely recommend. The dogs are super sweet too!
Best campsite on my trip!
Such a great place to camp! The owners have thought of everything. You park right next to a very cute treehouse that has strong lights at the top and a nice fire pit down at the bottom of the platform. It’s a cozy little a lot surrounded by a little stream and a pond, and it has trees and foliage all around. Jen was also an exceptionally nice host; I would highly recommend booking this place!
One of our favorites!
This was our second time to the lovely and secluded Flamingo Pad in Oldsmar (part of the Greater Tampa Bay area). What a beautiful place and nice family! We love this little spot, and plan to return again and again when traveling through from SW FL to N GA. Thank you Jennifer!
Warm greeting by Jennifer and her son and two mellow and sweet dogs. Stayed three nights. My daytimes were spent away but the morning and evenings were quiet. Their coming and going - barely noticed. The camp spot next to their very long drive way next to inlet. Electric hookup. Clean bathrooms. There is also a treehouse platform next platform and fire pit.
