Pets are allowed but be mindful we have dogs on property and would like you to keep them within the site premises and not allow them to enter horse pasture. There is a dusk to dawn light closer to house that doesn’t interfere with darkness or star gazing. Beautiful sunsets in the evenings!

TERRIFIC!
Note that I apparently hit the low rating button by accident and HipCamp can’t change it until I complete the review so please disregard any negative rating!!
What a great overnight spot for road tripping or to explore the area.
This was more convenient/closer off the highway than the state park (and more private!) with easy directions and few turns and the last stretch of dirt road is so packed it feels much like a paved road.
The site has ample space for camping with a boss fire pit, nice wooden picnic table and provided trash bin and latrine tucked beneath the trees.
The sunset…wow…and the beautiful horses!
Donna came out to say hi and she is a very kind host.

It’s a very nice campsite and it was fun to see the horses come out in the field!
Donna is an excellent host! I would stay here again.
Dry camped 4 days- very peaceful and quiet with occasional noise from the road and planes overhead... otherwise, beautiful setting!
Donna is very accommodating and allowed our grandchildren to feed and pet her horses... the highlight of our trip.
Thank you, Donna... you're a wonderful hostess!
Great place to stay, surrounded by State Forest. The surrounding roads loop nicely if you need to stretch your legs. Excellent arrival instructions and friendly host. This stay was my first in Florida, and I couldn't have been happier with the experience.
The property is quite large; even though there is a house on it, you can have as much privacy as you want in this spot. The turn into & out of the driveway was a little tight with our 40-ft motorhome plus towed vehicle. A portable toilet, big wood fire pit, and trash can are provided. The only downsides are that it takes a while to get into a town where stores have great selection, and there are frequent gunshots and tank cannon rumbles thanks to the military installations nearby.
Such a lovely spot ! Big flat open grassy area , best fire pit ever (with a grate to cook on and fire wood was ready for us! ) we got a bit lost and the host jumped in her car and came and got us. She was incredibly warm and friendly and also invited us to feed the horses at night with her family, which was the highlight of our stay. The extra touches on this camp space (like spotlessly clean camp toilet) were super appreciated by us tent campers! Such a nice quiet night before braving the crowded coastal camp grounds!
Great place to stay, highly recommended! :)
Wow - Incredible hosts!!!! This was our first HipCamp booking and we feel extremely lucky and grateful for this experience! The property was easy to find (follow their directions and it's to the right when you enter the driveway by the trees/firepit) and easy to park our 22 ft RV. The horses and wide open views were amazing to wake up to. The camping bathroom was clean and worked well for our family. Water from the well was also appreciated. Booked 1 night and ended up staying for 2. Very accommodating, beautiful space, great hosts. We hope to be back - Thank you and Happy New Year! :)
I arrived later than expected, but Donna was very helpful with directions and even put out a light to help me find the campsite. The site was peaceful, the firepit was really nice, and the horses were beautiful. I wished I could have stayed at the site longer.
