Caceres Organic Blueberry & Turmeric Farms is nestled in the heart of the Suwannee River Water Basin, home to some some of the most beautiful freshwater springs in the world. We have been a WWOOF host since 2011. Over 600 organic volunteers from around the world have lived and worked at the farm so we are used to creating an atmosphere of community and sustainable living. We have cleared tent camping lots for Hip Campers in front of the on-property lake with easy access to swimming and fishing. There are two solar shower stalls with hot water powered by the sun. It is specifically built to overlook the main blueberry field and peach grove. Stunning views at sunset. An outhouse / composting toilet is currently under construction with the rain water collection system now complete. In the meantime a portable toilet is provided. A potable water station is available and built from re-purposed materials and wood harvested locally.
We are a working farm. We supply every Lucky's Market location with fresh turmeric and a host of other stores with our blueberries. We also have an active we-pick program during the blueberry and peach harvests (late March to early June) that is available to Hip Campers.
There are multiple springs within 30 miles in various directions - some of them of First Magnitude volume. Ichetucknee Springs offers excellent river rafting. Ginnie Springs offers world class underwater cave diving -PADI license required. Manatee Springs and Fanning Springs consistently offer up close sightings of Manatees without the crowds of Crystal River. There is also a boat launch on the Suwannee River just minutes from the farm for boating, skiing and fishing. Bob's River Place is minutes away.
The Gulf of Mexico is just 40 miles away. Scalloping season begins June 15 this year and runs to September. Oyster season lasts all winter. The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is 50 miles away and hosts several large music festivals from Spring to Fall including Hullaween on October 23-25.

Farm great! toilet & dog rough.
This farm is Fantastic! Richard is an excellent host: timely communication & keeps a well-run farm. There were some challenges this time which led to a Mixed Feelings review...
My family of 4 has camped here 6 times and enjoyed every time. For that reason we invited my daughter's Girl Scout Troop for their first family campout. We rented all 4 sites.
The Pros: property well maintained, something for everyone (pond, fish, campfire, solar-heated showers), great host. Covered pavilion with large picnic table to congregate. Room to explore.
1. Toilet situation. The portapotty was almost full. There was no toilet paper by Saturday when host had left town for the day. No sink or soap option. We rationed out the troop leader's roll and used a water bottle and shampoo to make a make shift sink. We were aware of portapotty on listing but not the level of roughing it entailed in its use.
2. Dog. 1yr old puppy listens only to the host and not at all to others. He terrorized camp: ate plastic mess kit plates, chewed ropes tying down tents, peed on side of tent, dragged people's shoes out of their camp and into the cactus beds, ate solar lanterns, climbed a picnic table & jumped to reach a trash bag hanging off tree branch. He also jumped on everything (6yo kids, side of car doors, tops of picnic tables). Host apologized and removed dog but he escaped 4 times every time he needed let out. I anticipate dog's skills to grow as he matures. Something to be aware of for families.
Beautiful campsite with plenty of shade and space. Had a fire pit and picnic table which was a great addition. The pups on the farm were great with our dog. We all had a great time
Camping with animals
For those like me who own dogs and other type of pets , camping at Caceres blueberry farm is definitely a good place .
The dogs were able to roam free and play with the owners dogs
There is small lake mostly quite clean where the dogs enjoyed swimming and retrieving
The cons were ; could not find the hot showers ? Don’t know if perhaps were hidden to the eye ? Or not working
And the paper toilet was finished the afternoon before my departure ..
Also , for those with RV or hard top tents well , there is not much to do around … not hiking or walking much as close to small main road . So more than two days were more than enough
Awesome place to camp. My boyfriend and I stayed for the night with our two dogs. Very quiet and peaceful. Dogs were really friendly and played with ours. Will deffinately be back.
Journey car camping
Loved our stay here! Quiet lots with picnic tables and fire rings. The outdoor shower was a wonderful new experience for us. Richard and the dogs were friendly. Felt safe. Would definitely recommend.
I loved camping here!!! The place was beautiful and our whole camping experience was wonderful. My friends and I were obsessed with the showers and it felt great to be able to wash with hot water. I saw the owners a couple times and they were very nice and welcoming. We even left a necklace and they mailed it back to us which was super sweet :)
It’s a wide open field which was perfect for us. It was cool and windy so the sun felt good and we got all aired out! There is a friendly dog or two that wander about and played with ours.
