Clermont / At Shady Oaks

This is a great spot to spend a weekend!! Tanya and Wes were super helpful with set up as well as things to do in the area. We really loved the common area for morning coffee and after dinner drinks. Thank you!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Shady Oaks. Our site was so peaceful ticked right along the pond. Our cats loved to watch the sand cranes, and we were treated to a chorus of frogs each night. This property is magical. It was also very convenient to several local parks, shopping, and sight seeing. Tanya and Wes were very kind too, checking in on us now and then and asking about our adventures. We will definitely visit this camp again if we are in the area.

Second time back! And will be back again! Great property, nice owners and great location.

Wes and Tanya were so friendly and helpful. They were there to greet me as I arrived and offered to help me pull in. The site was breathtaking! I enjoyed all the sounds from the pond in the day, but especially at night. It was soothing, I don’t think I’ve ever slept so well! My pups loved all the wildlife. The Sandhill Cranes were especially entertaining. I will definitely be back next year!

Had a great visit. The location was remote yet close enough to get to everything. The host was really sweet, and we had a great time. The Garden and the patio area with the fire ring made my wife want to build our own outside kitchen area.

Tanya and Wes’s property is amazing! We were 30 feet from a pond, right next to their outdoor patio (which we had full access to). It was wonderful waking up to a beautiful nature view. We were warmly greeted when we arrived, and given a tour of the property. They even asked if we needed anything from the grocery store when they went for themselves! We will definitely be staying here again!

We had a wonderful stay at Shady Oaks. The week flew by! Great hosts. Super helpful when arriving and wished us safe travels when we were headed out. Quick to respond to our questions, otherwise gave us lots of privacy! Enjoyed our personal fire pit and the wood that supplied it! The momma, poppa, and adorable baby Sandhill Cranes were definitely a highlight! The only downside was the zooming traffic on the road just behind our site. Overall though, definitely recommend! Nothing a fan or noise machine can’t help to muffle.

What a beautiful property. No wonder their children and friends got married there. The oaks are enormous, the pond is peaceful and the group fire pit was amazing. Tanya and Wes were friendly and kind hosts. We had a lovely time. Thank you.

We love it here so much that we extended for another week!!!! Tanya & Wes are great hosts, and help us with everything we needed. The wetland is beautiful and we were able to watch the resident Cranes and their new baby. The patio is Beautiful. Their pics don't do this place justice. Nice clean water supply and electric. Very quite and very clean. We have 3 small dogs that were welcome to roam as long as they stay out of the garden area and you have control of your dogs.
