We have fuzzy eared friendly Scottish Highlanders who will eat out of your hand, 5 miniature Aberdeens who are also quite tame and one beautiful Dexter. In the last two months four of these cows have had calves with two more on the way (hopefully). . The pasture sits behind a house that is nearing 200 years old and belonged to my grandmother Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn whose mother was Montine Dunagan. If you want to build a fire, you will have no difficulty finding deadfall all along the fence lines. In fact we appreciate people picking it up and burning it. If you need a bonfire let us know a little in advance and we can build a head high bonfire that will last a couple of days. We are centrally located (5-15 minutes away from) between Ginnie Springs, Gilchrist Blue Springs, Rum Island, Poe Springs, River Run State Park, Oleno State Park, the Santa Fe River, and Ichetucknee Springs. Additionally, sinceI am a retired Navy pilot, we offer once in a lifetime helicopter tours of the springs and the local area.

I’d like to keep this a secret. There. I said it. I loved everything about it. If I’m honest and tell you it’s an incredible place to stay then it might not be available the next time I want to camp. If you’re debating it, go! Say hi to the cows for me.

Great spot. Super host. We slept in hammocks in a small grove in the middle of the cow pasture. Very quiet and peaceful. And close to many springs in the area. Highly recommend.

Amazing. Hands down- the best spot we have ever camped! Wide open field, 2 massive trees that created a shady spot for meals and the tents - plenty of room for the kids to run and explore without fear of disturbing anyone else. It could be used as a completely primitive site but we set up close enough to the power source (4 outlets) which was near the trees we wanted anyways. Tom, the owner, was extremely hospitable. He met us upon arrival and showed us around. The next day he set up a helicopter ride from the field over to a cave on his property (for an additional fee but extremely reasonable)- once there, his mom and him hiked us into a really cool cave and we got to let the kids hang out with their sheep. Overall - just good camping with a super kind host. Tom had also offered to do a huge bon fire for us! We opted out because it was hot already but we would of 100% taking advantage of the offer during the winter months. We left and were talking about what days we could go back. Im hesitant to even post this - because if rather this gem not be discovered. Super close to the springs, a grocery store is just 15 minutes up the road for last minute items. And we didnt deal with any mosquitos! I dont know what kind of treatments the farm does but that was a huge perk.

We love Hipcamp because you find beautiful, secluded places like this and meet the coolest people like Tom! Right when arrived we hopped in their golf cart and watched them move their herd of sheep to another pasture and got to hold a baby lamb!! He also showed us a hidden cave on his property which was so neat! We had the whole field to ourselves and he even let us burn a pile he had made for a huge bonfire! So much fun! Would definitely stay here again!
