It all started when grandfather Charles B Wright first establish this farm in 1904. He purchased it for its natural springs. In our barn (now home to Gardiner Brewing Company) he had gravity fed water troughs for his cattle. Since then we have slowly switched from animals to tree fruit. You will enjoy rolling hills of fruit trees and fruit gardens along with beautiful views of the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge. We have 450+ acres so it in very private.
As we are a working farm, you can see us driving pass with our tractors or maintaining the orchard around your campsite on occasion. You are welcome to ride your bikes, hike or jog where you will pass ponds and a working farm landscape. Please don’t pick our fruit. If you would like to enjoy the fruits of our labor please visit our farm store open year round on the premises where we sell cheeses, our fresh picked fruit and veggies, local meats, and our famous cider donuts along with other farm products. We also have a farm brewery open 3-7 in our old dairy barn for you to enjoy. Live music Saturdays and Sundays. Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Reserve are only 10 minutes away. The rail trail is three minutes away. This trail gives you walking and biking access into New Paltz, where there is tons of restaurants and lots of shopping.
Please be aware that during the months of September and October there may be a Pick-Your-Own customer or two walking around picking apples around the campsite area between the hours of 10:00-6:00. You are also welcome to come down to the farm market and purchase bags to pick your own apples in season.

We love having chill rock climbers, hikers and families on our farm/wedding venue. It's not a campground! It's just a super cool place to have some privacy and a camp fire and be really close to the best hiking and climbing, and swimming holes and farmers markets and road biking around.Horse farm / Wedding venue super close to Gunx, Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Preserve, Lipman Park (Mt biking) Great for rock climbers, families, hikers, horse folks.Sites are private with fire pits. It is $25/ person per night!Strict cancellation policy so if not sure, just book for 1 person to guaranty a space and settle up upon arrival when you know your actual plans and numbers ?So, we do weddings on some summer /fall weekends. You camp in a totally different part of the property and are no where near the wedding activity at all. Occasionally, the music is audible. Lake Taghkanic is a great place for both summer and winter stays, with plenty of tent campsites as well as cabins and cottages, and a variety of activities to do year round. For winter folks, there's cross-country skiing and snowmobile trails, as well as ice skating and ice fishing areas, and plenty of fire pits to warm those chilly bones. For summer lovin', there are two beaches, so if someone kicks sand in your potato salad (accidentally, of course), you can just go to another beach and pretend like it never happened. The only sleeping quarters that are on the water are some of the cottages in the West End Cottage Area, so if you're planning on playing Beach Party Bingo, plan accordingly or be willing to walk a bit from your tent or cabin.

Our slice of paradise consists of 225 acres of forested land nestled in the foothills of the Catskills near Albany. We are a homestead and small campground devoted to the principles of organic farming and self-reliance. Modern agriculture and big business are unsustainable, destroying farmland at an accelerating pace. It is important for us to teach the next generation, there is an alternative. We produce much of our own food. We have friendly goats, chickens, ducks, peacocks, donkeys and horses the guests can pet and feed. There are no swimming holes on our property, but many waterfalls and swimming spots within a short drive (see list below). A quick 5 minute drive will get you to one of the best disc golf courses in the north east. For the truly adventurous, Clarksville Cave is a short drive away. Visit their website for list of proper gear and rules. We do rent some of the equipment needed.

A grassy meadow nestled between a forested ridge the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail, an open access walking and bike path. The Rosendale Rail Trail Cafe is just across the meadow from you and Rosendale trestle bridge is a short bike or walk away.
We do have hot water showers and heated bathrooms in the Owlwood. Use our hand drawn map to find your way around the farm.
Please drive extremely slowly while on the farm road, there and kids and critters everywhere and your car will thank you! Also, we encourage everyone to drive as little as possible while on the farm, why drive when you can walk and enjoy the land.
If you want to sleep in a car or rv make sure to contact us so we can let you know where to car camp. No cars are allowed in Red Fox Meadow. Also, if the meadow seems too wet to camp give us a shout, there are other areas to camp that are dryer in the wet moments, just not as private.

For generations, the majestic waterfall has been revered for its spectacular beauty. It’s considered a sacred site central to local land rematriation work with the Kanienkeha:ka.
Coursing between two outcroppings in a deep ravine, the waterfall crashes down over mossy rock shelves into emerald swimming holes and through dramatic clay beds. It’s one of those extraordinary spots on earth that make you feel like you’re in another world. The sites aren’t suitable for parties or loud groups.
It's about a 10 minute hike to the waterfall where you can spend the day swimming, exploring the clay beds and looking for fossils in the 280 million year old gorge. In the evening, make a campfire and fall asleep under the stars listening to the river below.
The hike is steep and appropriate footwear is required. All hiking is at your own risk. Although your path to the waterfall is private and the waterfall is on private property, there may be other guests or locals that access the waterfall further down the road. There is no glass or alcohol allowed at the falls.
Be aware that you may hear your camping neighbors in the woods. For this reason, we ask that you don’t play amplified music and keep noise down after 10pm to enjoy the sounds of frogs, crickets, owls, and night songs of the countryside
At the entrance to the campsites there is a barn community room with a charging station, cold water sink, fridge, coffee maker, cookware, and a port-a-potty. There are 5 gallon solar shower bags that you can use at your campsite. You are responsible for filling them and putting them in the sun to heat the water.
This is a leave no trace site. Take all your trash with you when you leave. Bring your own biodegradable soap for dishes and toilet paper for the port-a-potty!
Firewood is available onsite for $1 per log.
The Schoharie Valley is said to be the most fertile valley east of the Mississippi. It is still wild, unspoiled country and there are many local farms stands with fresh produce and organic meat close by.
Within a 5 miles radius is a general store, Scrumpy Ewe Cidery, Panther Creek Arts, Rooted Movement, the Sap Bush Country Store and Café, and Mustang Valley (a wild mustang sanctuary). Nearby hikes include Looking Glass Pond and Vroman's Nose, and others.

There are short trails on our property for walking and miles of hiking trails in the Catskill Park. We have 3 sites. 2 for a tent and one site for a travel trailer less than 24' or a tent. Spaces not within view of each other. Full 7 Gallon water jug provided for washing up and rinsing dishes, no electric but I can top up your batteries for a small fee with my generator. Basically dry camping with fire ring and picnic table and water.

We are a 30-acre working active Hay farm. We purchased the farm when my grandfather passed away in 2014. It was once used to feed his cows. We had a working dairy farm. Now the property is used for your enjoyment and ours. As well as making hay.
We have an 8-acre garden planted with rhubarb, raspberries, and berries on the farm too. We are located next to the Wallkill River which the campsite overlooks.
We have 3 campsites available to choose from.
Toilet available, campfires permitted, picnic table provided, pets welcome on leash.
Be advised we are a working farm so you will see woodpiles, machinery, such as Tractors and other items sometimes hanging around.
Be aware we have 3 campsites so outhouse is used by all 3 campsite please be courteous of others. Leave the lid down after use ,wipe up after yourself. Treat it like its your own house. We appreciate it
We ask after 8:30pm noise is kept down to respect other campers.
We are located across the river from City Winery who does play music when they have weddings. We have no control over unfortunately

We had a great stay at James’ site! He was there to greet us and show us around upon arrival. The outhouse was convenient and clean. Nice little trails around the property and lots of birds which my birding husband loved. James provided water for us to use to wash dishes which was convenient. The site isn’t that far from the road but it was quiet most of the time and there is a hill that blocks the view of the road, so you still feel like you’re tucked away in the woods. The site felt private and peaceful and you’re surrounded by woods. Overall we had a great time!

Weekend Trip to Waterfall Sanctuary & Quiet Retreat
We had a wonderful time camping on Amy's land. Everything was as described in the listing. There was a mix up where the campers before us went to the incorrect cabin and Amy was responsive and kind when sorting it out. The cabin was clean and smelled good, like fresh wood. We appreciated the carts supplied to help transport supplies to the site, and the cooking supplies supplied in the community room helped us out too. It rained one day which made it hard to cook outside but we were able to use the microwave to warm things and the coffee pot to heat up water. We also had a great hike at Vromans Nose which was 10 min away from the site. The trail to the waterfall is steep but the falls are worth the challenge. A local cutie pie kitty cat visited us when the weather was nice which was a joy. We are already looking into when we can come to the area next!

We had an amazing time! We helped chicks hatch, they gave us a few farm fresh eggs, we held baby lambs and laid out in the sun with a three day old highland cow! They are all so friendly and welcoming, the animals and owners. They let us camp out with the view of the water and didn’t bug us at all but we’re very helpful with handling the animals properly and taught us a few things. We will definitely be back!!

great spot! super well maintained and beautiful land! we heard tons of birds in the morning, and the animals nearby weren’t too noisy. the two campsites were far enough away from each other that we barely noticed the other campers (but you can see them barely from your campsite). did some stargazing too!

We were in 1 of the 3 Stonehedge campsites. We were alone so it was very peaceful. If there were others, it was still pretty far apart and you would have privacy. Possibly gun range or fireworks being lit- if you have a frighten pup, keep that in mind. Not loud just noticeable.
Really wish they offered a shower area so we can stay longer next time during the summer.
If you want to camp to get away from crowds and have some open space, it's a great place.

We had a great stay in Joanna’s A-Frame cabin! The cabin overlooks the pond which you can see from inside, cooking around the campfire and from the water in the canoe that’s located onsite. There are thoughtful amenities like hot outdoor showers, a double sleeping bag and French press that made our stay that much more enjoyable. The firewood we purchased was good sized and dry! The property is beautiful with trails throughout. It’s a great place to stay for a relaxing weekend away! We’ll definitely be back :)
