Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek.
There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area.
Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite.
Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping.
There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek.
There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area.
Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite.
Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

My late husband and myself bought the property in 1983 and it was all just overgrown land!We worked, cleared, built horse shelters/barns, cabins, cut trails, built the outdoor chapel for our wedding and of course fenced it all in for the horses! Started sharing with guests in 1993, so we have met so many amazing folks from all over the world! Pass thru our gate into another world and leave all your worries and tensions behind. Dandy Hill is a small hobby goat dairy. Come enjoy the farm life and play with the goats. This farm is 8 acres sitting on top of a small hill with beautiful sunrises. Only 1.5 miles off interstate 75 and a perfect spot to stop in on your travels. Located in Athens TN which is exactly 1/2 way point between Knoxville and Chattanooga. Rivers, lakes and mountains are all within a 45 minute drive from the farm. Campsite now has 50 amp service.

We absolutely loved our camping trip. It was so nice to be within a five minute drive from a store but be completely removed. Campsite 12 was nice upon a hill. If you’re going to have sunny, hot weather note that campsite 12 is really hot and doesn’t have shade. you have to pass through other campsites in order to swim in the creek. Great reason to make friends. Kat was so nice and helpful. Overall, an incredible camping spot!

We were lucky that we were the only guests there. My children enjoyed the forest a playing with the owners’ dogs. We loved the shower house and enjoyed taking showers every night. The tent was great, had everything we needed and temperature stayed comfortable there our whole stay. The owners were very kind and accommodating! Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again in the future!

Our second time at Low Meadows and surely not the last! Close to Downtown Knoxville but still feels remote enough. The stream and bird noises are so magical in the morning. The road isn’t terribly busy, and when the sun went down you’d think you were in the woods. Not crowded (weekday), and our site had people on either side, but still felt like we had privacy. Wood available is awesome. Great clean table and pit had kindling in it already! Bathroom was incredibly clean. We met a friendly ghost that plays guitar. Would definitely come back

The facility was super nice! There are trails on the property and a prayer shack if that’s something you’d like to use. Showers and spigot are located at the office, so it’s a bit of a walk or short drive to those. if you’re looking for somewhere to get out into nature with no one around, it’s the perfect place to go! we would come back!

Perfect. Quiet. Friendly host and staff. There are two two furry babies that may check up on you. They love rubs, and fetch. Beautiful salt and pepper fur. It was like being in a world of my own, which is exactly what I needed. I'd recommend to any campers that are seeking a peaceful stay outdoors.
