Kimpel Cottage is a woman-owned, custom-architect-designed contemporary rustic cottage located in Wisconsin’s beautiful north woods in Eagle River, Wisconsin, United States.
This unique camper cabin-style cottage on over 5 acres of deep woods is a small-scale rental available for limited use spring-fall (typically May 1 - October 31). The 900-square-foot cottage is perfect for a writer's retreat, an outdoor enthusiast, an artist, a small family, a group of friends, etc. - the cottage is a relaxing, nature-filled getaway! The cottage is located approximately 4 hours from Minneapolis-Saint Paul and 6 hours from Chicago. There are 2 full beds in the loft, 1 sofa bed in the loft and 1 pull-out twin bed, and a large down-filled sofa bed on the lower level. You are welcome to tent/camp on the property as well.
About the area: Eagle River is located in the stunning North woods of Wisconsin. Eagle River is part of an impressive chain of 28 lakes, the largest connected freshwater chain on the planet, and is a world-class fishing destination with incredible musky, panfish, and bass fishing. The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest and other parks and amenities are minutes away. The nearest boat launch and swimming beach are 3 minutes away at Anvil Lake. Eagle River town is about 8 minutes away and has all necessary amenities, grocery stores, shops, and a post office.
This recreationally-zoned cottage is registered with the Vilas County Health Department (ID #AMAN-C6UMDZ) and the Town of Washington (Permit #129-WA) for all applicable taxes/fees and follows all State of Wisconsin’s Short-Term Rentals Laws as applicable and has a current Business Tax Registration with the Wisconsin Department of Revenue.
