Orval Nelson raised cane and lent his name to the dead end road we occupy. We have raised two boys, many sheep and chickens and we raised a house that many locals know as "the blue house" for it's roof color. We both spent many hours away from the farm in occupations, and now raise Blueberries for folks to come pick. There are trails that go to the highest point of the property and also to the Halfway Creek which has elusive trout. We are within 15 miles of LaCrosse, Wi, The Mississippi river and Perrot State Park. We are three miles from Holmen which has stores available for fuel and food.
