Holler-lujah in the Run
This is a great spot! Very remote but close enough for us to get out to some local parks and breweries in the area.
Bill gave us a map of the land and had some great recommendations for things to do. Would definitely return!

RU Ready To RV?
Nuts, Frogs, & unexpected delights
We did not end up camping at the new RV spot in the Orchard b/c of the wet ground and weather.
We instead parked our RV on his property that has the old farmhouse. We had not expected this but it worked out nicely. We didn't have the 30 amp plug but he had an extension cord so we could at least plug up to power which was fine with us. Our RV awning broke while we were there and Bill took time to help us fix it, even though we knew he had other obligations. We spent a bit of time talking with him and he is truly one of a kind. He has his hands in all kids of fun projects and was a wealth of interesting knowledge.
The property by the old house had an outdoor shower, fire pit, and a lovely pond that had the most beautiful symphony of frogs.
Bill was great with our kids (ages 6 and 4). He did a presentation about nuts and it was funny, informative, and perfect for our kids. He sang songs, played the ukulele, and had nuts to share. He taught the kids how to use a old school nut cracker.
Overall, our experience was not what we planned, but turned out to be everything we needed.
We plan to stay friends with Bill and go visit again.

Peace and beauty
The land is beautiful. Orchards abound , wildflowers throughout. The "Holler"is truly a hollow, whole other world and FULL OF LIFE !
The Gramping shack was just right for my dog and myself. Cozy and positioned well on the property.
Bill is a great host and cook as well. I was tickled pink at the wonderful wild edibles and farm goodies he provide. Just ask about all the goodies. Two thumbs up!
I'd stay again for sure. Actually I didn't want to leave. It's my kind of heaven on earth!!

Best Hipcamp first impression!
Highly recommend staying here if you want privacy and the best camping experience. I chose this property to get away from the busy, crowded campgrounds and I was in for a treat! Upon arrival, Bill met us at the top of the hill and offered to drive our gear down to the campsite since we drove a car. We were able to get to the parking area safely in a Honda civic. Bill helped us get settled and showed us all the amenities of the site (which were more than we expected). The site itself was pretty open, very private and so relaxing. We had access to a small cabin where we could store our stuff out of the elements and even a mini fridge and hot plate! We partook in the wild foods walk with Bill and his business partner “Bulldog” and had a wonderful time trying all the native plants in the area. The property was very dog friendly and my dog was off leash most of the time. There are chickens on the property so I leashes her periodically for safety’s sake. The stars at night are second to none! We planned on using the campsite as a base to visit nearby national parks, but ended up staying at the campsite because we were enjoying it so much. 10/10 will stay here again!

Nut'Inn is a wonderful place to take some time for yourself or to spend with family and friends. You can look forward to some of the most beautiful misty morning sunrises that exist or a beautiful starlit night, I swear there's something special about the way the clouds hang in the valleys of West Virginia and at night while enjoying the sound of crickets all around and the warmth and smell of a bonfire I could see the wisp of the Milky Way. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to explore the woods nearby and also going for a short 2-mile hike only a 30-minute drive away to one of the most beautiful lookout points I've been to, If you're a bird watcher this observatory is a great spot to stay for a couple of hours and watch migratory birds of prey as they pass by. I got a tour from Bill of his orchard and got to learn about his viewpoint on plants and farming It was a wonderful experience! If you have a passion or interest in fruits or nuts you can definitely learn something new from Bill. I got my first ever taste of Pawpaws, had some of the best olives I've ever had which he grew right there on his farm, and I also got some hickory oil which is something I've never even heard of before (it tastes great). I got to meet some great people and enjoy a lovely couple of days camping in a peaceful place I definitely recommend it!
