Bailey's Last Stop Horse Hotel is the home to Project Almost Home for Arabians. We partner with an equine rescue to foster 3 to 4 horses while helping them find their forever home. There are 2 glamping sites available. One is a small furnished room in the barn with electricity, a fridge , microwave, a futon with a double mattress, and twin bed with an air mattress with bedding provided. There is a Portapotty and outdoor shower with heated water. The second site is a glamping tent on a platform, currently unfurnished in a small paddock by the barn. Electricity can be run to the site. There is a staircase leading back to the barn to access the Portapotty and outdoor shower which are shared between the 2 sites. Each site has a fire pit: There is a charcoal or wood burning grill. There is room in the paddock for extra tents. I also have stalls available to rent per night for those wanting to vacation with their horses. Chickens live on site with fresh eggs available. The property is located 10 minutes from downtown Franklin, NC which has a cute downtown, brewery, and is a stopping point for hikers on the Appalachian Trail. We are about an hour to the entrance to Great Smoky Mountain National Park. White water rafting is available within 30 minutes at Nantahala Gorge. Endless hiking, canoeing, waterfall viewing within 30 minutes.

Bailey's Last Stop Horse Hotel
Misleading
It Is not what it shows in the picture. The place is very dirty, very disorganized, high high in the mountains, not accessible for people with disabilities, no wifi, no phone service!! When my family and I arrived and saw all of this we left very disappointed. And she never gave me the eggs I order and pay, and the not give us a refund!! Even though I my self am disabled.

Suzanne was a super gracious and welcoming host! I was up and out early so I did not have the pleasure of meeting, but her communication is fast and she made sure everything was taken care of! Nice property tucked in the woods!

Beautiful animals!
Overall, it was amazing. Suzanne was really accommodating and her horses are just beautiful, well-taken care animals. It was a special spot. It would be good to note that there are dogs around a lot. Sweet dogs but as Suzanne put it, it's rural NC and a lot of dogs just aren't fenced. Also, while it's private, it is a working horse farm so you won't be totally secluded the whole time. Suzanne was wonderful with my kids and introduced them to the animals and told them about her horse, Bailey who the spot is named after. It was perfectly level and really quiet at night. Thankful for the time there!

Horse Love
Great little spot with tons of horse time! The outdoor shower was very fun, especially with horse friends wandering freely around the property! Directions are spot on - pretty easy to find especially in daylight. Suzanne was friendly and accommodating. This was a great base camp for exploring the smoky mountains and tons of rock/gem mining nearby for east access to activities.
