Site 2 - Agate Island
Needs work but great potential
This site is absolutely stunning. We really enjoyed our stay here and the host is a hoot. There are some things that do need work though. The walking path going down the hill is very steep, which is mentioned. But the support logs are being held up by pieces of cut curtain rods. They were not very stable and potentially hazardous. The ad also stated there was potable water. When I asked the host where the potable water was, she asked, “what’s potable water”? We we’re only provided one single bag for the toilet for the entire weekend with 3 adults & 4 kids. It was also mentioned that there was a pully system to lower and lift gear in and out, a factor that swayed our decision to stay there in the first place considering we were packing lots of gear because we had small children. It was broken and not in use. The host did help us load up the quad and take things down, but she appeared intoxicated (she arrived with a beer in hand) and inexperienced in driving the quad, as she dumped our cooler and all of its contents on the ground. The space does not have any level spots to pitch a tent. The day we were supposed to leave I could not get a hold of her so I had to walk to her nearby residence and call out. Our vehicle battery had died and we requested a jump. I was able to locate her and they did jump us and we were very grateful for that. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again. Just not with children as so much more gear is required. It really is gorgeous!

Site 3 - Big Cedar Lookout
Sadi was really wonderful and her property is beautiful! We had a really nice time hanging in the stream and having a fire.
