We are a 1/4 acre city farm / nursery in Federal Way, WA. Since 2010 we have been consulting, designing and experimenting with Aquaponic, Hydroponic and soil based food growing systems. We run a small nursery and Micro Coffee Roasting business. We bought 10 acres on the Key Peninsula to expand the duck farm / Italian Cooking herb business onto. The 5 Lower acres you will be camping on will turn into our future pasture area when we expand into livestock. The 5 acers across the road from the camping spot is our 5 acre future home site, and food farm. Please stay off that parcel.
Our property was clear cut 9 years ago. It has been left fallow until fall of 2017. It's gently sloping land to the SE. The land has never been sprayed with any chemicals. Once we start to plant trees and establish pasture on this acreage, we wil

Our property was clear cut 9 years ago. It has been left fallow until fall of 2017. It's gently sloping land to the SE. The land has never been sprayed with any chemicals. Once we start to plant trees and establish pasture on this acreage, we will follow organic or better land management practices. That's why we need you to pack out poop and NOT dig cat holes. Feel free to pick and eat any edibles on our property.
The entire 10 acres is currently (July 2018) about 40% covered with 6 foot high blackberry. We cleared the camping spot and a fire pit spot so far. As we clear more area we'll open up new camping spots. This is a great place to just sit back and relax.

This 5 acre end of the road property is WAY off the beaten path, but close enough to civilization to keep you supplied. We are at the South end of the Key Peninsula, aka the Sunny Key. We are less than 3 miles to Joemma Beach State Park, and 6 miles to Penrose Point State park , where you can clam, fish, or dig for oysters and muscles in season. Bay Lake is between the 2 State Parks and offers great fresh water fishing for hard hitting big mouth or stocked Rainbow Trout.
Our camping land is 12 year old clear cut that we are turning into a permaculture farm, nursery, frisbee golf course, and up to 500 person group camp/ Private Amphitheater for private events. Walk the more than 1 mile of internal trails or bring a mini bike, quad, BMX, Mountain bike or off road go cart.
This is a working farm. Expect to encounter woofers, farmers, natural builders, and our friends and family enjoying our camp with you. Bring your guitars, drums, light night toys, etc… no park ranger is going to tell you to turn it down. We love music and light.
The 10' fire pit is for GROUP CAMP RENTALS. The HipCamp firepits are inside each camp and are normal size. Please DO NOT use the Central Amphatheater fire pit unless you rent ALL THE SITES - AND HAVE the ENTIRE CAMP FOR YOUR LARGE GROUP,
This is a working Permaculture Farm where forestry and land management are done on human scale. It is still rough. not leveled in any way. Bring good solid footwear. Think scrubby and thorns, not a front lawn or park grass. Although the amount of clear playable space is growing by the day. There is a box of land clearing tools. If you don't find the perfect nook, build one for your tent. Or clear away the ever encroaching wilderness in the rv spots. Build your reality.
The absolute best camping is hammocks. A few spots way back, or up on the high side under the cedars are my favorites. If pitching a tent, bring multiple ground tarps for your tent. Seriously not kidding. Or be ready to clear some brush. OR - head to the low side by the geo-dome. some nice clear space with pasture grass is coming in.
There is NO POTABLE WATER on the property this is a dry camp. Bring plenty of water. More than you think you will need.
There is a 320 gallon tote with FIRE WATER and 5 gallon buckets by the parking area. Make sure you go get a full bucket of water, BEFORE you spark a fire on our property. Burning our neighbors homes down would suck for everyone. We also use this water for our camp showers. DO NOT DRINK IT
There are no trash cans, please practice PACK IT IN - PACK IT OUT. It fit on the way in, it'll fit on the way out
Your camping experience is what you make it. The property extends in all directions to the really tall trees. There is a small camp road that goes all the way around - if you are adventurous and have 4wd. Camp anywhere. You will find 3' fire pits spread about. The more interesting spots are near the back and the edges. Go on a good explore before you settle in. I've opened more "roads" to the back tenting areas. If your car leaks fluids - PLEASE go park it back in the lot by the duck pen and porta john. After you unload. If you don't drip, park where you like - OFF THE ROAD.
Please no hunting or firearms discharge on the property. There is a main Community Gathering and noise making area near the Fire Pit, BAR, and Main STAGE in the very center near the composting toilet. There are fire pits at all the more used camp sites as you move away from the center.
Our 9 hole Disc Golf Course was installed the fall of 2021, and was designed by 1984 World Champion Don Fogle. This is a non sanctioned Tiki Style Course for camper play where there is a premium for shot placement. We are working on artistic hole baskets. Hole 1 starts at the top of the RV loop (Spirko Ln).
This property is the home of TheSquatchFEST a Music, Arts and Light celebration every Aril (Spring Awakening) and October (Harvest Fest). Come back and enjoy the music. Find us online.
This property has never been sprayed. Enjoy any edibles you find with confidence, they are chemical free. Why we are A WAY better choice than the state parks- You can stay up play/listen to music all night and enjoy a good camp fire with no visits from a park ranger. You can collect any dead wood on the ground and burn it up FOR FREE. We are 420 FRIENDLY. A good night walk with some quality tunes can cleanse the soul. Enjoy our little valley home. Please be responsible on our land. We are a LONG way from a hospital.
UPDATE - 11/5/21
We added 2 RV loops and now have 5 spots for rigs. Camp where you fit.
