This is my first season open to the public so feedback is very utilized. Hello, my name is Joe and I live here at Christmas Tree Ridge. This beautiful 5 acre canvas overlooks the Tahuya Valley to my south and is propped on the edge of a deep gullie to the East. Long ago this whole hillside farmed Christmas Trees. Valley Ridge Lookout is a first year clearing up at the top of the plot with no power or water hookups yet, the same for West Perch. Most seem to car camp or tent, even with the round rocky soil. However, if you are in need of power or water tanks filled just let me know, the lower drive area is near my utilities. Pros: -Borders state land, hunter's verify season. -Just broke brush on a trail that connects to the Howell Lake Trail for hiking, biking, motor bike, or horseback year round. Very narrow trail, just cut this year. -Wood for burning, not all sites have a fire ring. Ask, I can arrange things. -Trash free soil, keep it that way please. -Swimming hole at Howell lake is 1 mile via that trail, less then 10min by car. -Great views of Moon and Stars Cons: -1 mile long dirt road can get bumpy at times. -While a very private place, you're going to hear some noise still. Sometime very local target shooting now and then, often at the shooting range 4 km west. Distance road noise from the north during traffic hours, occasional loud car or liter bike buzzing the back road, and single engine planes, sometimes even aerobatic, practicing above. -Gully creates steep(100% Grade or more) drop near edge of camp sites. Please keep a safe distance. Be aware when walking around the east edge at night or you may find yourself 100ft lower in the bush or trees.

A Great Spot for a Weekend Getaway
I went tent camping with my pal here this past weekend, and it was great. Joseph was responsive when I had questions, and the site was nice and large with a pretty nice pit toilet outhouse, and a nice fire ring area to congregate around with large stones to set things on and a bench. We strolled out from the site on the trail past the outhouse and connected up to the Howell Lake trail which was a nice hiking outing. Having a car that can handle the rock and dirt terrain is helpful, and a Crosstrek made easy work of it. It's also nice the site is about 15 minutes to Belfair so it's a short hop into town for supplies. This place is a good bargain.

Up the Mountain, Into the Woods!
This is an great spot for those that enjoy a primitive camp setting. Such as myself. The property and campsites have been carved into the mountain only in recent times. It makes for great view of the nature around you and submersion into it. But there's still 5G! You can have a fire if you're not an idiot (solo campers appreciate that respect). Also, the host is an exceptionally nice dude.

Valley Ridge Lookout
Host was helpful and friendly site was spacious and clean. And there is a little bit of cell service at the site. Be prepared for the dirt road hill you can make it up in just about anything but you need to be ready for it and not going slow.
