Located 60 miles north of Seattle and 20 minutes northeast of Historic Arlington we are located amongst the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Tucked off the beaten path down a private gravel drive is our 1921 Homestead. It's an historic, 5 acre farm surrounded by woods with soaring cedars, wetlands and a (seasonal) creek running through it. We have an orchard of granny apple trees that we are striving to nurture for future generations to enjoy. We're a first generation farm that is stewarding our land using organic and regenerative principals. Our farm is home to our highland cows, laying chickens, turkeys, ducks and geese. Our newly developed campground is on the south one acre of our property. We have four sites but are currently listing three of the four. Our space ideally lends towards families and friends that want to gather together while still having private spaces for each of their tents. Our collection of campsites is a 3 minute walk from the main house so you'll have lots of privacy to escape the hustle and bustle while you relax in our wooded forest. You can see our homestead if standing on the main trail but each campsite has much mature foliage and trees to provide privacy. You may hear our family doing chores, our dogs barking, roosters crowing, our turkey Tom "gobbling," cows "mooing" and our neighbor's peacocks saying "hello." Depending on the day you may hear cars or trucks coming and going, tractors and the occasional chainsaw or firearm practice. We ask that you please stay within the designated campsite area and do not enter any buildings or farm enclosures. Please do not pick up any animals. We have farm dogs that protect the property and with us at all times. Please inquire for farm tours as we would be happy to schedule one during farm chore hours. Upon your arrival you will be greeted by us and we'll be happy to get you oriented. We have a portable restroom available for use. It will be situated on the northern portion of the one acre. It has easy access for all campsites. Cedar 4 will be the furthest away from it (approximately a 3 minute walk). Set up your tent in one of our four designated campsites in the midst of our lush forest grove. We recently graded all camp spots and added a layer of woodchips. You will have a fire pit with a box of firewood, garbage cans and not potable water available. Unplug and feel restored as you sit and listen to the seasonal creek and spot wildlife amongst the forest. We have identified these birds through the Merlin Bird App: -Black-headed Grosbeak -American Goldfinch -Song Sparrow -Wilson's Warbler -American Robin -White-crowned Sparrow -Pacific-slope Flycatcher -Yellow-breasted Chat -Chestnut-backed Chickadee -Spotted Towhee -Orange-crowned Warbler -Hairy Woodpecker -Dark-eyed Junco -Swainson's Thrush -Black-throated Gray Warbler -Northern Flicker -Warbling Vireo -Barn Swallow -Western Tanager -Black-capped Chickadee -Purple Finch -Cedar Waxwing -Mourning Dove -Violet-green Swallow -Evening Grosbeak -Common Raven -Bewick's Wren *As of 5/2023.
