The Farm

4 sites ¡ RVs, Tents5 acres ¡ Woodstock, VA
A slice of paradise tucked into the hills of the valley and nestled up against the Shenandoah river with private access. Neighboring Muse vineyards, the state park and a 5 min drive to town. It's the perfect getaway and also an excellent hub to loads of fun nearby. If you're interested in renting it out privately and throwing a weekend rager, let me know. It's perfect for that. Or if you just prefer the sound and serenity of nature, also perfect. Mid August is when the PawPaw's are ripe and readily falling from the trees, booking during these times grants you access to the one of nature's best kept secrets, the Paw Paw fruit. You won't find them in stores but you can graze for them here. They make a delicious second breakfast 😜 Come enjoy. I'm always in the process of making and clearing more campsites around the property. For anyone interested in earning a little extra stay time please ask about helping me clear and working for some compensated time. As everyone who contributes something will be earning a place here in the heart of the farm. It's magical and I hope to share the magic with all who wish to behold. All walks of life are welcomed. Please be kind to the Earth.

Cabin on the Seven Bends

1 site ¡ Lodging1 acres ¡ Woodstock, VA
Our dream was to own a log cabin on the North Fork of the Shenandoah River. Sixteen years ago we accomplished that dream, giving us access to a Shenandoah Valley treasure, and yes, we are on the first of the Seven Bends. Although we live in the main log cabin, we are happy to share our tiny living screened cabin over looking the river with many activities available to you. Although we are only minutes from I81, the setting is very private, in the woods behind our home. Park at the main cabin and hike 200 feet down the hill to the secluded River Cabin overlooking the North Fork of the Shenandoah River. You'll have river access for fishing, swimming and paddling (kayaks and canoes provided), or you can just sit on the dock and watch the sunset. Retreat back into the screened cottage for a quiet restful evening or relax on the deck by a fire. We are a Glamping site... like a hotel stay in the woods. Close by are 100's of miles of hiking trails and the charming town of Woodstock offering free concerts, some of Virginia's finest wineries, the Brewhouse and other great local restaurants... come explore and adore. There is also an auxiliary deck in the trees for pitching your own tent or sleeping under the stars for additional campers. During cooler months, we have enclosed the sleeping/changing areas and provide a small heater for some limited warmth. “And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul” ― John Muir
