Traveler's Meadow, Virginia

Around here, we know an area by its gaps and ridges. We're located along an ancient crest, and likely trail, known as Timber Ridge. Welcome to our ridge, and amazing variety of nearby trails, sights, and scenic byways. Check out some caverns and waterfalls! or historic downtown Harrisonburg, and Antique Malls

Our "gap" road (a natural break in the ridge) is Lacey Springs Road. Traveler's Meadow is only 10 minutes from both Timberville and Harrisonburg which means you have easy access to some services should you need them. We are also close to George Washington National Forest, Shenandoah National Park, and Natural Bridge.

Don't miss amazing hikes such as Trayfoot Mountain to Blackrock Summit, Elliot Knob fire tower, Appalachian Trail and shelter from Port Republic Rd, waterfalls, swimming holes & the overlook at Fridley's Gap. You can also visit Meems Covered Bridge and so many more.  Please ask about scheduled group hikes as well, we would love to help you have a good time. 

Other popular hiking adventures are: Hone Quarry falls, Blue Ridge Tunnel, Fridley's Gap Overlook, Reddish Knob, Wildflower Trail (see a long lost, 500-pound millstone) Emerald Pond, Yellow Rock Cliff with it's awesome vista, and Storybook trail overlook which has wheelchair access.
