Campsite was great! Soft ground for a tent, and really beautiful scenery. When the sun went down it became clear why it’s called Moonrise. Big sky over open fields for a stunning view of the night sky. Hosts greeted me and attended to the outhouse and were very kind. Would recommend.

We had a great stay. Loved the touches like the outhouse and the fire rings.
Walked to see the goats and chickens, which was another highlight.
The road noise was a little loud, but we had music, which helped. Traffic seemed to die down quite a bit after about 10, though.
Would definitely recommend.

Meg and Ben's farm is close to Richmond but very much in the country. I stayed there solo in a van for a few nights to work on a project and it was perfect--dreamy and quiet, with easy, level, mowed campspots, fire rings, an outhouse, privacy, and misty sunrises over the fields each morning. Meg, Ben, and Kaya, their joyful friendly dog, were so hospitable. Highly recommend--I loved staying there and hope to be back soon!

Easy to get to and set up our tent on our long drive down south.

Moonrise Campground
Tent camping at Meg and Ben's farm was the perfect getway. Trails behind the camp sites are going to have tons of wild black berries.

Nice private space in the back of the field. Very relaxing stay. Large fire ring. Beautiful night. Meg & Ben were very responsive and helpful.
