Squatters Run is a 123 acre working beef and lamb farm in the foothills of the Alpine National Park. Approximately 25 acres is dense subtropical bushland with the picturesque Iguana creek running through it, making it great to explore or watch the local wildlife. The camping area is surrounded by beautiful redbox trees, some dated to over 300 yrs old and has stunning views of the highcountry to the north and the Gippsland lakes in the south. Ideally located it is 57kms to the iconic Dargo pub and just 75kms to Lakes Entrance.

Goin back again w group of friends
Our stay at the farm exceeded all expectations, providing us with stunning views of both sunset and sunrise that were truly breathtaking. We were pleasantly surprised by the charming creek, forest-like atmosphere that was perfect for capturing photos. The toilet was impeccably maintained, showcasing a level of cleanliness that went above and beyond. Our hosts, Paul and Leanne, were exceptionally welcoming and generous, sharing with us their delightful endeavor into whiskey distillation. Nothing short of fantastic.

Paul and Leanne are perfect hosts. The Squatters Run setting is pristine and meticulously kept. The tastings from their own distillery was a highlight. Thankyou for an enjoyable Easter Weekend. We will definitely be back 😊

Amazing Beautiful Property
We loved the layout of the camping area, beautiful grassed area with sun and heaps of shade if needed. 3 camping sites that had heaps of room.. The toilet in the silo was a luxury to have so we didn’t bring our portaloo. Communal Firepit and shelter was a great additional to the property. Stunning Creek 400 meters from campground and dams on property stocked with fish. One fish was caught and they have a catch and release policy. Paul and Leanne were fantastic hosts and we had a 5pm spirit tasting from their own distillery called High Country Hooch on first night. You will not be disappointed if you book here, my favourite Hipcamp we have been too out of many. Thank you, our Easter was great!,

The Lemon Tree
We had such a great time. A beautiful property, perfect for tents, with grass to sprawl out on. Short walk down to a creek, with other spots nearby for fishing. Secluded, no traffic noise, great views. Paul and Leanne were fantastic hosts, with great ideas in the works to make their property even better for guests. Highly recommend.
