A little slice of heaven ! 11 Acres nestled in a valley in the beautiful Castlemaine goldfields. The property has a main house ,shed ,cottage, Glamping tent site and a dam, and is completely off the grid. Also very close to the popular Expedition pass reservoir and only a few minutes drive to Chewton and Castlemaine. Come and experience the beautiful sunset, Wildlife and tranquility. The cottage itself is furnished and has a cosy open fire place and barrel heater, a small kitchen with basic kitchenware, hot and cold water gas cooking and solar and gas lighting. There is a separate bedroom at the back with a Queen bed and a king single bed. Please note bedding is not provided so please bring a warm sleeping bags or bedding and pillows. There is a adjoining bathroom (accessible from outside) with toilet, vanity and HOT shower. (BYO towels). The cabin sleeps 3 and you can also bring a tent as well.. Please note this is rustic accommodation and the cabin doesn’t have 240v power only 12v LED lighting and an esky is also provided. Located just 5 mins to local reservoir which is a great place to swim, fish or paddle. Also the popular Red Hill Pub and gold prospecting areas are just up the road and only 10 minutes to historic Castlemaine. Firewood available $40 per barrow load. Please message me though the site. Just 1.5 hours drive from Melbourne, 1 hour from Ballarat and 40 minutes from Bendigo.Come and enjoy this beautiful, private bush setting and step back in time by staying in my rustic old stone miners cottage with open fire, small kitchen and bathroom. The cottage itself is furnished and has a cosy open fire place and separate barrel heater, a small kitchen with basic kitchenware, hot and cold water, gas cooking and solar and gas lighting. There is a bedroom at the back with a Queen bed and a king single bed. Please note bedding is available as an extra (queen bed only ) and NOT normally provided. If bringing your own please bring a warm sleeping bags or bedding, pillows and towels. There is a adjoining bathroom (accessible from outside) with flushing toilet, vanity and HOT shower. (BYO towels). Also please note the bathroom MAY be shared with my Glamping site if its booked. The cabin sleeps max 3 but you can also bring a tent as well.. Please note this is rustic accommodation. The cabin DOES NOT have 240v only 12v LED lighting and a usb phone charge point is available. Located just 5 mins to local reservoir which is a great place to walk, swim, fish or paddle. Also the popular Red Hill Pub and gold prospecting areas are just up the road and only 10 minutes to historic Castlemaine, Harcourt and some excellent wineries. Firewood available at $40 per barrow load please let me know in advance. Just 1.5 hours drive from Melbourne, 1 hour from Ballarat and 40 minutes from Bendigo.

Paul's cottage is wonderfully rustic. You really do feel "off grid", but it has everything you need. Highly recommend for a trip away!

Rustic Miners Cabin

We had a wonderful stay at Paul's cabin, it was so well equipped with everything we needed and so cosy and comfortable. We loved the open fire and it was so good to bring our dog who had such a great time. A really beatiful cabin highly recommend, the glamping tent down the road looks great too 👌

Peaceful and relaxing

We love staying at Paul’s place, being a private property gives you an extra sense of security and privacy. The cabin had all we needed for our short stay, it’s a nice location close to a place where to swim. We loved it!

Rustic Cabin Getaway

We had a lovely weekend away at Paul's Rustic Cabin. It was perfect for our short getaway. Paul was a great host, and gave us info on the local eateries. There is a glamping tent on site, but we were far enough apart to not bother each other. We will be sure to tell others how wonderful it is to stay there. Thank you Paul!
