Our beautiful property is located on 70 acres and has 1000m of river front on the Loddon River 3km down Newbridge Maldon Road from Bridgewater. There is an IGA supermarket nearby in Inglewood, which is 11km away, and the Bridgewater pub and bakery are located 3km away. Both world-renowned feeds. The place consists of privacy, use of kayaks and safety gear, fishing rods, boat ramp, and a lovely getaway for a couple or family. We've also recently added a basketball court, beach volleyball, mini football oval and soccer goals. Lots to do! Come here to enjoy the peace, and six meters of clean clear water at your camp door if you please. Fire pits are provided and we offer firewood for sale if needed, outside of fire-ban season - No firewood is to be taken from the property unless paid for. This is a unique camp experience. All we ask is you leave the place as you found it. The stars in the night sky are second to none, we hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do. IMPORTANT: We do not offer toilet facilities, so all campers MUST be self-contained, and take all waste with them. In order to protect the fragile river system, strictly no dumping of waste or greywater on the property. Waterski boats are strictly prohibited. We require at least 12 hours notice before your stay, but if you do need a last-minute spot, please feel free to send us an enquiry and we may be able to accommodate you. Whilst pets are welcome, please inform us prior to booking if you are planning to bring pets along. We kindly ask that you keep them at your site as do not want to upset other guests with barking dogs, and wish to protect our wildlife.

Redbank farm has been home to five generations of Superfine Merino wool Farmers. The charming homestead is set on 1000 acres of rolling hills, lush trees, and dams that offer plentiful grazing to sheep and cattle. Metcalfe's rural landscape still remains largely untouched, giving a real feeling of freedom and fresh air, filled with wildlife and sensational scenic adventures to enjoy, like the stunning cascades just up the road. Redbank offers sites across 200 acres of land, SITE 1 a main area offers 4 large sites suited to campers wanting to be super close to toilet, shower, camp kitchen, and playgrounds, which is a major hit with the kids making it a popular spot for families. The camp kitchen has dining space and barbecue facilities. There are about 6 paddock sites that are still within walking distance to all facilities but are nicely spread out to provide guests with there own space. We have 4 sites that you will either need to be a self-sufficient camper, or keen for a hike to facilities as these sites offer a lot more privacy and would need 4wD to access. 2 more sites that you must completely self sufficient and have 4wd skills. We are a no trace camp ground and ask you to take all waste with you when you leave. Dogs are permitted in camps but must be kept on a leash to protect our livestock. Redbank is a working Farm and you will likely see or hear evidence of this during your stay, but we are very considerate of our campers and have had a wonderful experience sharing our land so far and had very happy campers. BEYOND REDBANK156 Campers will find many more attractions in the area, Great spots for hiking, swimming, fishing or just straight up relaxing in the serenity. TRUPENS waterfalls are close by CASCADES and the Coliban River runs through Metcalfe AND EPPOLOCK just up the road. A short drive of 10-15min in all directions will take you to one of the funky little historic towns Kyneton, Castlemaine, Redesdale, and Malmsbury, and another 15 mins on to Daylesford and Trentham all filled with brilliant restaurants, cafes, vineyards, vibrant retail and market scene. What more could you possibly need for a great getaway?

There are a variety of beautiful campsites suitable for self-contained guests who have their own toilet/shower facilities and drinking water. Fires are permitted out of fire restriction times and feel free to bring your furry friends, making sure they're leashed at all times. The farm is completely surrounded by the Wellsford state forest which offers bush walking and many tracks for bike riding. Mt Sugarloaf which is situated south of the property provides a great hike. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets create beautiful reflections on the water in the numerous dams on the property. Rainfall can restrict access to sites on the property. The city of Bendigo is 25mins drive. Epsom is a 15min drive where you will find a shopping centre which includes a petrol station, Woollies, Pizza, Chemist Warehouse, Aldi, Brumbys Bakery, Reject Shop, Fish and Chips and BWS. Lake Eppalock is a 25min drive where you can engage in water sport activities. The Campaspe River is 10mins away. The farm is very quiet and restful with the sounds of abundant native bird life and provides great subjects and scenery for the photographic enthusiast.

Here you will find a nice open space amongst the gum trees with drinking water, toilet, and outdoor shower. rubbish/recycling bins and access to wifi if needed. Relax under the stars with a warm fire in a secluded spot in the middle of open space and the fresh air. The property is fenced off, so you can feel safe and secure. You can relax and let the kids can run around knowing they are safe inside the camp ground. Only minutes from town where you will find supplies, close to the local swimming pool and 10 minutes from a popular watering hole. Enjoy all that Bendigo and surrounding areas have to offer, check out the historic gold mining attractions and come home to rest in a tranquil setting amongst the trees, the birds and the stars. There are separate campsites available. Rodborough Vale is 600 acres with a combination of creek flats, native bushland and rocky volcanic outcrops. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The farm borders Tullaroop Reservoir which is only a ten minute walk from most campsites, there you can find public toilets and picnic areas it is well known for its fly fishing for trout. The boat ramp is around 400m from the front gate and guests are welcome to leave vehicles and trailers on the property for convenience. Note : The reservoir is currently only open to electric powered boats and canoes. Dogs are welcome but must be very well behaved around sheep. Flushing toilet available at the shearing shed. Good access for caravans and large RV's. Local attractions are the historic towns of Maldon, Clunes, Avoca and Dunolly all part of the Central Goldfields.

Swallow Lodge Campsite

Our 20 acre property is home to lots of birdlife including many little swallows. The campsite is open, grassy land with large eucalypts, bottle-brushes and other native trees. There is an olive grove too. We have resident wildlife including echidnas, goannas and "Wally" the Wallaby. We're located a 2 min drive from Lake Laanecoorie which is ideal for boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing and walking. Plenty of great places for road cycling and mounting biking too. This campsite suits self-sufficient campers who bring their own toilet/shower facilities, water and power supplies. There is tank water available for washing hands etc (but it is not potable). Dogs on leashes are very welcome. The Laanecoorie region has many attractions to offer including Melville Caves, named after bushranger Captain Melville (the local folktales state that his gold is still buried in the area!), the Loddon Miniature Steam Locomotive Society displays (4th Sunday of each month), weekend markets and wineries. The canoe trail on the river and lake is a must!

Approx 400 acres, mostly open grazing land, 25km north of Bendigo, nearby the Whipstick Forest area. Camp in a restful, private setting, surrounded by a wonderful vista of natural flora and fauna. The property is a working sheep grazing farm, with plenty of wide open space perfect for campers. We have several camping locations dotted around the property. All the vegetation is native to the area, predominately Blue and Green Mallees, with patches of Gray Box and Yellow Gum timber. Eastern Grey Kangaroos are known to graze on the native grasses that grow here. A number of bird species also populate the area, including Galahs, Magpies, Choughs, black and wood ducks etc. Nothing beats waking to birdsong and distant sheeps bleeting in the morning! Whipstick Forest is approximately 3km East of us, and has several beautiful walking trails. Spring, with its wildflower displays, is a particularly spectacular time to explore the area. Campers must be self-contained, with their own camp loo, and take all waste with them. Pets may be accepted on occasion, but please check with the Host prior to booking as there are grazing sheep on the property. Generally, small pets only, that can be kept under control, and return to call.
