Clay Hill Corners Blueberry Farm

We are open and above the floodwaters! Easily accessible from Rt 89 and Rt 4. Our Pick Your Own Blueberry fields open in July. Clay Hill Corners is a 10 acre working Blueberry Farm. We have PYO Blueberries and a farm stand open from mid July to August. We sell organically grown blueberries and produce locally. Learn more about this land: Our private Sugar Shack is at the end of our blueberry fields and faces the forest. The Sugar Shack sleeps two in a comfy double bed with clean sheets and a fleece blanket. I wash the linens and blanket in hot water for each and every booking. Please bring your own extra blankets or sleeping bag if the weather is cold. An additional clean quilt with duvet cover can be added for a $ 10 per booking fee. There is a small porch, a charcoal grill, four chairs, a hammock, a fire ring, fire wood, clean potable cold water, a solar shower, and an outhouse. We provide the firewood for the fire ring and we provide charcoal and lighter fluid for the charcoal grill. There is space available next to Sugar Shack in the field for additional tents or small RVs. (There is no electricity.) The upcharge for additional campers after the first two people is $5 per person per night. Hiking trails through field and forest start at your door. We have a 3 mile round trip hike to Harlow Brook with a map. We are on the edge of a wildlife corridor and often see deer, coyotes, fox, waterfowl, songbirds and the occasional bear. (Keep food in your car at night so that the bear does not eat it!) We are above the Ottauquechee River at North Hartland Lake. We have rentable canoes and a kayak. We can transport you to and pick you up for a canoe trip on the Connecticut River or to North Hartland Lake.. We are located two miles from Quechee, 7 miles from historic Woodstock to the west, and 7 miles to hip White River Junction to the east and 8 1/2 miles to Dartmouth College and the Appalachian Trail. There are fun casual restaurants with some sit down and take-out nearby and our local Jakes Market can provide you with a nice selection of groceries. Hot Air Balloon pilots often take off and land in our fields and it is always a magical site. We can connect you with local pilots if you wish to purchase a Balloon Adventure.

This land is the home to Brad and Sarah, cats, farm animals, gardens and a variety of wildlife.  It is here that we run Roots School, a wilderness earth skills school, instructing adults and youth alike.The land has over a half a mile of river frontage and several streams, a beautiful varied forest, rambling topography, and plenty of wildlife. Many lessons in tracking may be found as whitetails, moose, black bear, fishers, bobcats, porcupine, coyotes, foxes, mink, ermine, snowshoe hare, wild turkey, and ruffled grouse, are seen and tracked. Often times we are also lucky enough to catch a hawk circling the pasture and to hear the barred owls calls in the darkness of night. The diversity of plants, trees, and animals make this an ideal place to study and grow, or simply hang out in and experience.

Camp Ebb and Flow is located on the western edge of the White Mountains, near the crossing of the Appalachian Trail and a short drive to VT. Three lakes nearby for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. Hiking trails nearby. The camp offers two RV sites with water, electric and sewer hook-ups, one water and electric only site for small campers, such as tear drops or pop ups, and four tent sites. There is an "outhouse" with a flush toilet and over six acres of mowed fields for activities and walking. There is also a lovely brook running through the property with many areas you can cool off in from the summer heat. This property has a lengthy history going back to colonial times. It’s been a farm, an apple orchard, and once had a sawmill. Please check the calendar for available dates. Check-in is no later than 9pm unless late arrival arrangements have been made prior to booking. If you do not see an open site for the days you'd like to get away, please send the hosts a message. Sometimes they can make other arrangements, allowing you to stay.

Sweet Song Acres is 100+ acres of secluded forest nestled along the Little Sugar River, at the base of Perry Mountain. Located in rural Unity, NH and Charlestown, NH, just across the Vermont state line. Southernmost point, located in Charlestown is one of two campsites. The other is Shady Grove, located in Unity. The two sites, located in bordering towns share the same entrance and are connected by a 1/4 mile trail. Both are very large sites. Campers would drive to both sites down a trail so we highly recommend a vehicle with decent clearance and 4WD or AWD. Southernmost Point is a fully drive-in site. Shady Grove campers park above the site and the campsite is down a short path, just a few hundred feet or so. The property consists of varied terrain of rock ledges, lush moss, streams, and panoramic views at the summit. There are many options of local outdoor activities in the area or if you prefer, just sit and "listen to the river sing sweet songs to rock your soul".

This is the private campsite we developed on our farm several years ago for when my wife and I need a little getaway, but don't have the time to travel. Shaded Brookside Glen is a level, mowed lawn surrounded by mature trees and bushes. Dry camping only, but a nice composting outhouse is easily available nearby. Water is available from the year round trout stream, but drinking water must be carried in. Shaded Brookside Glen has a picnic table, a metal fire pit, and limited fire wood is supplied. The drive to the site is across a grassy, mowed, well drained field, but can be effected by long periods of rain.

We have incredible views, forest trails that offer magical woodland wanderings, and spacious campsites in our fields. We also invite you to explore our cultivated fields of herbs and vegetables and become acquainted with the wide variety of tea, culinary, and medicinal herbs that we grow and process on our farm. You can also visit with the cows that spend their summer munching our delicious green pastures. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose. Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an ecofriendly, Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. My land is easily accessible by main road, has ample parking, and yet cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, wildlife, fireflies and peepers are just outside the door. In the summer season, several organic farmstands and local picturesque swimming holes range between 5-15 minutes away. Autumn's glorious show is on display everywhere you look! Hopkins Center, AVA Gallery, the Lebanon Opera House, Northern Stage, and a wide array of restaurants are within 20 minutes. Despite the proximity to town and even to my home, the simple studio space is serene in its sumac baby forest. The space is one of a kind, with a giant salvaged chapel window, cathedral ceilings, a candelabra, a clawfoot tub, a quirky outhouse, on-demand hot water, electricity and wifi.
