We are delighted to be a part of the community that we call Heartberry Hollow Farm & Forest in East Roxbury, VT. This land is part of the Abenaki territory and nestled in the mountains of central Vermont. We purchased Heartberry Hollow in the winter of 2019 with the intention to build a life here among the red oaks, white pines, beaver, red winged blackbirds, and other members of the land community. Our hope is that over the next number of years we will evolve along with the land to learn what is coming into being...as well as introducing a few things that are close to our hearts! We have a flock of laying hens, raise meat chickens and ducks, as well as raising heritage pork. We also offer raw milk from our beloved Jersey cow Mocha.
We have milk, eggs, and occasionally overabundance from our organic vegetable garden

Learn more about this land:
Park down by the main house where you will have refrigerator and freezer access as well as a plug in spot for electronics. Then you'll walk through our diversified working farm - be sure to give the mini-goats a scratch before heading up the hill to the secluded pine forest camping spots.
There you'll find a peaceful and quiet camping area with a camper for storage, a picnic table, small sink with running water, outhouse, four camping sites, and a series of short meditation trails. You'll be welcome to wander all of the marked trails from the pines, through the hemlock groves, out in the wetlands, and back through the open meadow.
While you're here you're welcome to participate in farm activities and meet the animals. We are an organic raw dairy, and manage a small flock of laying hens, a couple of very friendly pigs, a pair of very mischievous goats, and a pair of horses. Don't be deterred by our farm dog, Frodo, he's very good at his job of telling us about new arrivals, and is super friendly once you get to know him.
Off farm you're a 10 minute trip to Allis State Park for beautiful hikes with great views. Baxter pond is just around the corner for kayaking and boating. We live in a super friendly community of back-to-the-land farmers, craftspeople, and artists, so if you're looking for something tasty, an experience, or some chill people just let us know! We're happy to connect you so that you can have the experience that is right for you.
We are committed to supporting the LGBTQIA and BIPOC communities. If you are a member of either of those communities we are proud to offer you a 10% discount on your stay, and would like to hear from you how we can best support your needs, safety, and comfort while you're here.
