Enjoy this beautiful 5 acre orchard site amidst 150 acres of privacy located on a remote ridge in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. 1 mile up a dead-end dirt road, you will park near a 120 year old red barn with views of the orchards and rolling Appalachian foothills. Quiet and dark at night. Ideal for stargazing on clear moonless nights. Willoughby Lake is 4 miles South, Clyde River Recreation is 3 miles, and there are wonderful hiking trails at Northwoods Stewardship Center. The orchards are gated and off-limits to entry as they are the home source for Eden Cider's internationally renowned sparkling dry ciders and ice ciders. Visit their tasting room and production facility in downtown Newport (17 miles) and enjoy a free flight with your rental!Enjoy this beautiful 5 acre orchard site amidst 150 acres of privacy located on a remote ridge in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. 1 mile up a dead-end dirt road, you will park near a 120 year old red barn with views of the orchards and rolling Appalachian foothills. Farm with orchard, mountain views
Picturesque Farm in Vermont Hills
Located up a secluded mile-long dirt road, this retreat features a picturesque 120-year-old red barn with sweeping orchard views. It's a perfect spot for stargazing on clear, moonless nights. Nearby attractions include Willoughby Lake and hiking trails at Northwoods Stewardship Center. The orchards are off-limits but supply Eden Cider's renowned creations. Visit their downtown Newport tasting room, just 17 miles away, for a complimentary flight. Our stay here was driven by our love for New England Ciders and Eden's great reputation. Upon arrival, we easily found our spot near the barn and settled in. After a relaxing picnic amidst the serene surroundings, we headed downtown for a complimentary cider tasting in Newport. The Dry flight offered a delightful range, but the highlight was the Ice cider flight with its exceptional varietals and barrel-aged ciders. Don't miss out on these exceptional ciders! We left with a couple of bottles to enjoy during our autumn New England adventure. The site was incredibly peaceful at night, with the sounds of owls, coyotes, and other wildlife serenading us under the starry sky. The rustic barn added a picturesque touch to our photos, and the orchard was ready for the cider-pressing season.
