Located on the edge of town this one acre site offers privacy with convenience. Pick a site in the woods or on the lawn. The large sloping lawn is perfect to play games, have a small fire and grill on the mini Weber! A The camp is 1 mile to Main Street in Bristol, an idyllic small Vermont town with local eateries, shopping, grocery and town green with a playground that hosts events on occasion. We are driving distance from breweries, wineries, hiking, swimming and so much more. Middlebury is a 20 minute drive, Lake Champlain 30 minutes, Burlington 45 minutes. These are tent camping sites. We ask that all campers pack in and pack out. If you are in need of a tent or other amenities please DM us. The property has an outhouse style restroom, an electrical box for charging cell phones and potable water via spigot near the outhouse. Parking for up to three vehicles Patio table with 5 chairs 3 Adirondack style chairs Mini Webber grill. Paths & entrance are marked with solar lighting. There is a fire pit provided on the lawn for fires. Fires are not permitted in the woods. Please only use the fire pit for your fires. Do not source wood from the property for fires. Wood can be purchased at the grocery and gas station in town. Please stay on the paths and cleared campsite areas in the woods. Some areas are protected for wildlife and/or your safety! Quiet times. While this site feels remote, you have neighbors. Please observe quiet times from 10 PM - 7 AM. No ragers please (big parties)! There are neighbors on the other side of the fence.Follow the paths through the woods and pitch your tent(s) on any of the three tent sites, or stay out in the open on the grassy lawn! A fire pit ring is located on the lawn with 3 chairs for camp fires! Don't forget to bring the smores! (We ask all fires be contained to the fire pit). The large lawn can be used for playing frisbee, kan jam, corn hole etc, bring your favorite outdoor games! An outhouse style toilet is available nestled in the woods along the path and there is access to a water spigot. There is a wild section of woods separating the lot from our house,  it is home to an array of wildlife and we ask it remain wild. You can see a fox den from the lawn if you look carefully!  While on the edge of town we do get wild visitors including deer, raccoons, fox, skunks and on at-least one occasion a bobcat. Neighbors have reported bears, please keep food and trash in locked receptacles. We raise chickens on the lot to the north, you will hear Roger the rooster crow and the ladies clucking in the morning! If you are interested in eggs please DM us! We only book one guest group on the property at a time,  you will have the full acre to yourself.  We do live in the blue farmhouse next door.  We have a friendly german shepherd Jax and grey outdoor cat Atari.    Bristols Main street is a bike ride or short drive away and has a variety of eateries, shops, a grocery, pharmacy and town green with a playground.

Camp like a local!
Bikepacking the Green Mountains
Bikepacking through the Green Mountains and this site was exactly what we needed, and more than expected. The outhouse was clean and comfortable, there was a water spigot and even a little closed-in charging station. Thanks Jolene for having us last minute and for the great communication!

Camp like a local!
This is a nice site conveniently close to Bristol. It looks to be an open lot in between 2 homes (1 is the host's I believe). You are not in the wilderness, but you have sufficient privacy to have a nice camping experience. The front half of the lot is grass, and the back half is woods. They have put some effort into making the site nicer -- stylish fencing, pathway lighting, one of the cleanest pit toilets I've seen, etc. Things to be aware of: - It was buggy while we were there, so bring your spray - There is a rooster next door that starts his day very early - There is some traffic on the road about 50 yards from where your tent is set up. It wasn't loud enough to bother us, but again this is not the wilderness We had a great stay despite the earlier than desired wakeup by the rooster.
