El Conejo - Roadside Summit Site
It’s a beautiful area, but very hard to find site as the satellite images on Google have not been updated to show it. Don’t make the mistake of trying to find it in the dark like I did!

This spot was just gorgeous and love how they have it set up with a deck and fireplace with chairs. My dogs were in heaven running around. We watched the sun set by the fire and the stars were amazing. Unfortunately, construction is occurring in the neighborhood very nearby so our morning wasn't as pleasant. Just loved this spot and hope the construction ends soon, because I would stay again here afterward.

Such a lovely, quiet spot! My dogs and I stopped for one night, would have stayed longer. Very peaceful.

Yuba Lake - El Conejo - Camp Spot
El Conejo was such a great lil camp spot off the beaten path at Yuba Lake. So nice to be away from the lake and not having to deal with the intense winds, plus have a lil solitude and room to roam. The deck, fire pit, and picnic table area were such nice, unexpected touches. Carola was great to work with too, she accepted a last minute booking plus was able to accommodate a late request for firewood. Would recommend 100%

Gorgeous vistas. Lovely fire pit and deck setting. And of course, exceptional stars. The campsite is on a rise in the meadows and is perfect for seeing the Milky Way.

Yuba Lake - El Conejo - Camp Spot
Almost meditational!
We fell in love with the solitude here and booked a second night immediately. This was a great place to rest and regroup after a couple of longer, harder days on the road. If you are independent, value quiet and wide open spaces. this camp is a wonderful one.
