The terrain is rugged, and the dust and wind blow some nights. Once you're here, there are zero amenities (other than picnic tables). If this sounds fine — you don't mind roughing it — you'll be sleeping under the stars at the foot of West Texas' tallest mountain range. And who else can say they've done that? Ocotillo Grande

Great site. GPS location is spot on, just look for the gate and blue porta-a-potty. I drive an Honda Odyssey and had no problem negotiating the road. It's peaceful and quiet.

Guad Amighty

Unexpectedly beautiful spot. We have 4 wheel drive and had no problem getting to it. Directions from owner are good. Highly recommend!

Ocatillo Grande Amazement

RV camping was unparalleled. Excellent level site with beautiful views. Wes was very responsive to questions both prior to and during the stay. I highly recommend enjoying this beautiful place. The stars were magical and we were even able to see satellites and a rocket launch on the horizon.

Directions along with Wes’s Google map really helpful and we had no problem. Amazing views from of Guadalupe National Park, yucca and Grande Ocitillo! Way better than the campsites in the park. 1 other site occupied, but always away. We would stay here again!

This was an awesome site! The views of the Guadalupe’s and surrounding desert are expansive and we saw some of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen on our two nights here. We had no issues getting into the property with an AWD Rav 4 but it was dry while we were there. Definitely would recommend this site to anyone trying to get away from the crowds and cool with primitive camping!
